I've got a hunch about what the next 3 words might be. I'll play that hunch and say "goose".

I feel relieved. With that first link, I didn't think I was going to make it out of pocket change territory.

Well this is anything but pocket change. $40,000 join your prior winning for a grand total of $128,750. (audience cheers) And -- if you win two more games, you could roughly double your winnings. We'll see you on the next show. We've got time for an audience game -- and we'll play it -- after this. (theme plays; audience cheers)

As announced previously in the vacation section, there's a chance Chain will be on hiatus for a few weeks. So, we'll play our audience game version of the bonus round.
Recall, we spot the player $125. Every correct answer doubles the money. Going six for six takes the pot all the way to $8000.
Since we're in a little bit of a time crunch, we'll bypass qualifying. So, who wants to play? First one to respond who hasn't played in this episode's main game gets to play; we'll likely start the audience game tonight.

Why not? I'll give it a go. I helped someone hit $25,000 at the Gambit Galaxy, so maybe I haven't lost my touch.

(theme plays; audience applause) We have returned to The $40,000 Chain Reaction. We've got some time to play an audience game. Playing the game is Hunter Dillon. Warmest of welcomes, Hunter. (audience cheers) Hunter, we're going to dive right into this -- and start you off with $125. (ding) Now, we'll be playing a game similar to the bonus game that Marc just played. Only this time... (ding) ...every correct answer doubles your money. If you can go six-for-six, you'll go home with $8000. (audience cheers) Now, let's set up your chain. (ding) This chain starts with PIKACHU -- and... (sound man plays clip of Pikachu saying his name) (scattered laughter from the crowd) ...what's he doing on this network? We spot you the first letter of each of the remaining links. And in the audience version of the bonus game, we give you nine spare letters to play with. As before, if a spare letter completes a link, we don't credit you with a right answer. If you make a wrong guess and you have no spare letters to help, the game ends right there and then. Best of luck, Hunter. Your next link starts with a Y under PIKACHU. (sound man plays clip of Pikachu saying his name) (scattered laughter from the crowd) Lemme guess. It's J-Pop day on Dance Party -- right? Anyway, what's your guess for the next link?

If it was a P, I'd say POKEMON, but I have no idea, so I'll say YOU.
