Going into the penultimate season of Richard Dawson's daytime run, this is one change that will go into effect:
On each side of the stage is a lollipop tree. Before the game begins, the third players from their respective families will pick a number from 1 to 10, and their objective is to find the lollipop with a $100 bonus attached to it. The bonus will not count towards their totals.
The Wilsons enter this episode with a two-day total of $6,635. First up is a random episode from the featured season, with the new lollipop tree added:

(1976 FF Open)
ERIN HARRIS: It's time for the Family Feud! Introducing the Wilson family: Kourtney, Matt and Chris, ready for action! And the Kolsen family: Kevin, Chris and Nels! On your marks, let's start...the Family Feud! (1976 FF Theme) With the star of Family Feud, Bill Skinner!
Thank you! Well, here we are, 12 months later, into another season of Family Feud on ABC! It seems to me that Mr. Goodson is working so hard to shake things up that he wants to bring in more viewers to his shows, but lately, I can tell that we're getting overshadowed by the success of a certain Robert William Barker and a show that focuses on the pricing of various prizes. Wouldn't you agree, gang?
AUDIENCE: Yeah.
Well anyway, we've added a new twist to our show: It's the lollipop tree, and in a second, you'll each get turns and have a chance at winning $100. Today, it's the Wilson family, who's back for the third time with $6,635 from their first two appearances, taking on the Kolsen family! So here's how the lollipop tree works: The third player from each team will pick a number from 1 to 10, and if they find the right lollipop, $100 to them. Let's see, the Wilsons are the defending champs, so they'll go first. Chris, what is your number?

Let's see if you can pick out the $100 lollipop...
(Chris fails to pick a $100 lollipop, and audience groans)
Well Nels, I hope you can get one. As soon as you lock in your number, we'll find out if you do.

And here goes Nels, trying to get a good pick... (bells jangling) ...and boy, is it ever a great one! We haven't even played the game yet, and you already have a $100 bonus in front of you. Now Kourtney and Kevin, let's play the Feud. (1976 FF Face-Off Cue, harmonica variant) I want to wish you both the best of luck as we play the first round. We surveyed 100 people, and the top seven answers are on the board; you have to try to find the most popular one. Give me a number that often follows the word "top".

And so the challengers will play. Chris, welcome to the show; now is your chance to prove yourself worthy of the honor. Can you give me a number that often follows the word "top"?

Actually, that turn was reserved for the other Chris (chriswolvie), but I'll let the answer stand; next time, I should probably specify which Chris I'm referring to with some alternative nickname, like Wolfie, Other Chris or Chris #2. Anyway, how about the Top 100? clang!Well #2, it looked like #1 did you a favor, so now you can relax. Nels, would you care to give me another answer?

Well, it might be up there, but I seriously doubt that it ever would, since we're dealing with numbers here. Show me a top hat! (strike buzzer) Strike one to you. If you get three of those, they get a chance to steal. Kevin, time to get your team back on track.

Sure, that's a great answer too! I don't know where it is on the board, or if it's there at all, but I hope it is. Show me the Top 20! clang!Good for you, it's at Number 5. Nels, you have a better idea by now what we're looking for, so what is your answer?
