 It seems a lot of celebrities lately are sadly passing away. Scoey Mitchell, yet another Match Game panelist, has passed. He was but 92 years old. A great man and pioneer of Match Game just like Betty White was. He will be dearly missed. Deepest condolences to his family and fans. |

Meant to comment on this earlier, was very sad to read this. Loved him on Match Game. He also was a semi-regular on the TV series "Rhoda" if memory serves.
Much as I adore the Match Game reruns of the 70s, I'll sit there and say "Wow, the entire panel is gone now!" So rare when there's more than 1 who is still currently alive.
And yet the very first week of episodes from way back in July 1973, half of the panel is STILL living (all the females), Vicki Lawrence, JoAnn Pflug and Anita Gilette.
Richard Dawson, Michael Landon and Jack Klugman all have long since passed away.
Yes it's true, the first episodes of Match Game did NOT have Brett Somers OR Charles Nelson Reilly on them!
