Is right! (ding, applause)And that means John scores $200 and makes this a much closer game now... It also means our CLEAN SWEEP jackpot will grow by another $250, and will be worth $1,500 for game 1 of tomorrow's match, and it will keep on climbing until we eventually get a clean sweep win by one of our contestants. Back to the board, for a $250 question. Remember, the first player to reach $1,000 or more wins the game. Hands on buttons... (cheers & applause) We are back with our new champion, our FIRST champion, John Bergman with $3,050 already, and a chance to win as much as $25,000. With a combination of skill and luck, he could win up to that much. John, we play the Solo Game in two parts. Part one, I will provide you 10 questions. You will have 48 hours from the time I post them to provide me with the line number, the position number, and finally the answer itself. To expedite things, I will list all ten questions at once. For every correct answer you provide, you will earn one selection off of the money board. The money board will consist of the 14 positions, and I'll explain more when we get to that point. Obviously, the more correct answers you can provide, the more money you could win. Here are the ten questions. Remember, I will need line number, position number and then the answer, in that order. If you're not sure of an answer, still take a guess, rather than saying "PASS", as there is no penalty for an incorrect answer, but we MUST take your first answer only. Once again, here is the board: (beep-beep-beep)Good luck John! 1. Howdy Doody's Gallery 2. Long time Dodgers announcer 3. Kitchen Spice 4. Star of 70's and 80's CBS sitcom "Alice" 5. A Type of Boat 6. Used to be Datsun 7. Martindale Game Show 8. Stock Market Industrial Average 9. Composer George 10. Bo Derek Movie.

John of the 9 answers you gave, 8 were correct, so you'll get to select 8 numbers in just a moment! Well done! (applause) Let's reveal the 2 answers that you did not get... A type of boat... That was line 2, position 10... ROW...a ROW boat... Dodgers announcer, you said "Rogers", but we were looking for line 4, position 6... VIN, Mr. Vin Scully, Dodger announcer since their days in Brooklyn believe it or not! Now the time has come to see how much money you will win here John. Hidden under ten of the fourteen position columns are money amounts. They range from as little as $200 to as much as $3,000. Two of the fourteen position columns contain two halves of the word DOUBLE. If you uncover both halves, the amount of money in the pot will be doubled at that moment. If your FIRST 2 picks are the 2 halves of the "DOUBLE", in either order, you will win $25,000! (applause) But beware. One column is worth nothing, and is indicated by the word ZERO. And one column says "HALF", meaning if you select it, the pot will be cut in half at that moment. For that reason John, after you make a selection and uncover anything other than the "HALF", I will ask if you wish to stop or continue. As you got 8 words correct, you may select as many as 8 of our 14 numbers. Please select your first number and we'll see what you reveal. Hopefully it will be one of the two halves of the word "DOUBLE", or the "HALF" card since half of $0 is $0

(Terribly sorry for the delay all) Number 3, for $25,000... (groans) Darn! Well, you still have 6 picks remaining John, and no money at risk. Whatever you do, please don't find the other half of the DOUBLE now, as double $0 is $0! Hope to get some money banked first. Which number next John?

Let's hope for a big one... Bliiiiiiiiip Well $200, the lowest amount on the board, but better than HALF. 3 picks remaining John, and I won't give you the option to quit just yet, because even if your next pick is HALF, you'll still end up with more than $1,200 guaranteed. Where to now?

(applause) THAT'S better! $2,500 more! John, you have $3,700 and 2 picks left. If you select the HALF card, you'll lose half but still have one pick left. There is a chance also you'll select the "DOU" which would double your $3,700 to $7,400. You can quit now or continue. What do you want to do champ?
