That player goes on to the Scrabble Sprint, and have a chance at the Scrabble Jackpot Tiles which is now worth up to $175,000! (cheers and applause)(doors open)Take a look at the board, as we set up for our first round. We're building on the letter R. 9 letters in the word. (word outlines, hums)The clue is-- Some people like having it for dinner.\  The rest of the letters in the word are controlled by the numbered tiles. When you put them in the slot, you'll see what the letters are. But be careful, we put three stoppers in there, and if you hit any of the stoppers, (meaning the letter is not in the word), this is what you're gonna hear, (stopper sounds) and you'll lose your turn. BTW, we've added something new to this game-- If a letter lands on a plain square, we'll add $25 to the pot. If a letter lands on the blue square, we'll add $500 to the pot. And if a letter lands on a pink square, we will add $1,000 to the pot. If you buzz in and give me the correct word, you win the pot... and the money is yours regardless of the outcome of the game. Kevin, please select two tiles. |
