This is nothing short of a hammer to the heart.
Yet I do believe Betty would not want us to shed tears or feel sadness.
Even though she was just about 100 years old, have mercy...she seemed as full of life as ever.
Just the other day, literally like 2 or 3 days ago, I was watching a video about surviving cast members from old TV shows, and the guy forgot to include Betty White. So many people sounded off in the comment section, including yours truly, for she was not only the last surviving Golden Girl, she was also the last surviving member of The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
Half of the 8 main cast members from MTM left this world in 2021...astonishing.
After over 4 decades, we can rejoice that she has reunited at long last with her dear husband Allen Ludden.
I've often said, if my life depended on having one celebrity partner in a 60 second end game, Bill Cullen would be my go to guy, but Betty White would be next.
In all other respects, she was second to none.
She is one old acquaintance who will never be forgot! Betty, you were a national treasure. Our loss is Heaven's gain.
Rest in peace...

I am with Bill.
If I was on a game show, I wanted her to be my celebrity partner. She knew how to play the games and she helped players win lots of money and prizes..
I bet she is playing Pass Word with her husband Allen in Heaven..
If I am not mistaken, her last appearance on a game show was To Tell The Truth with Anthony Anderson in 2016. Her last appearance on a game show (I believe) where she helped some one to win money was "Million Dollar Pass Word" with Regis P.
I forget where I read it, but I heard she was going to do something special for her 100th Birthday..
I also remember on the last episode on Super Password, she threw the magic toaster on the ground because the player did not get the cash word!!!
Since COVID hit, she did not get out much.. I believe she was at home where she passed away.. I guess her care taker found her .
She almost made it to 100!!
RIP Betty.. God Bless You
ETA:: In fact about an month or so ago. She was one of my topics in "Talk About".. If I am not mistaken, Bill was able to guess the topic with the three or so clue words that was left on the board.. Bill, had two answers in mind and he was right when he said 'BETTY WHITE"

I don't see why it would not be allowed.
I remember watching this episode the day it aired and cracking up with Betty's antics with the Cashword prop!
Thanks for the memory Chris!

Within the last two days, TV has lost two of its giants, John Madden and Betty White. Miss White's death hurts a whole lot more, though, because we wanted to see her celebrate her 100th birthday next month. Instead, we'll probably have a memorial chronicling her many roles and achievements. I know that Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty are so glad to have her back with them again, as is the great Allen Ludden.
Needless to say, this is the worst ending to an old year ever...

As I said previously on Golden-Road, Betty White was one of my icons. Her quick wit impressed me on the game shows took part in, and she looked like she was having a blast each time.
Thanks, Betty. Cheers to a good, long life and for being television's first lady. RIP.
