Welcome back to 1975! Here are the rules:
-Three or four rounds will be played. If Round 3 does not go into Speed-Up, there will be a Round 4 which may or may not end with the Final Spin, time pending. -The red contestant starts Round 1, yellow starts Round 2 and blue starts Round 3, looping back to red for Round 4 if necessary. -The top dollar values are now $500 in Round 1, $750 in Round 2 and $1,000 after that. -Buy a Vowel is present throughout the entire game. -Free Spin is now only present in Round 1. -The specific category is now announced for each puzzle. -The minimum for solving a puzzle is $100. -Every prize is now on one of three showcases that contestants choose while the number drawing portion takes place. -For the Speed-Up, you are not allowed to call a vowel for each of your first two turns (six turns total). If your letter is in the puzzle, you will have three guesses or the option to pass with no penalty for a missed deadline. -There will be returning champions. Because the limit was reduced from five games to three in 1977, the contestant who wins the 1976 show will be grandfathered to the five-win limit.
I need three contestants!

And away we go...
*Big Wheels stars up*
Jim Thornton: Look at this brand new Chevrolet Spark!
This popcorn cart!
This brass bed!
A trip to Houston!
This motorcycle!
This pair of diamond watches!
And a tour across italy!
These are just some of the many exciting prizes available. Total retail value of all these prizes: more than $116,000! And are yours to buy today on Wheel of Fortune. And now, here's your host: Kevin Kolsen!
Me: Hi, everybody! Thank Jim for that welcome! Hello to one and all as we get ready to play Wheel of Fortune the way it was meant to be played back in 1975. This is the second time we'll focus on this year, and the only way to start is by me telling someone it's time to come on stage. That's our hostess, Susan Stafford!
*cheers and applause as Susan walks on stage*
Susan: Thank you, Kevin. It gives me great pleasure to introduce today's contestants...
Our first contestant is a cashier from Council Bluffs, Iowa, please welcome Matt Riggenberg!
Playing behind the yellow podium is a game show fan from Virginia. He's David Barkow!
Finally, a high school student from Los Angeles, California. Give it up for Immanuel Tims!
Me: Welcome to the three of you. We'd like to get to know you a little more first. Matt, you're a cashier. How's this weekend been for you, particularly where Black Friday has been concerned.

Must have been just the food for Thanksgiving. Good luck to you today. Let’s meet our next player, David Barkow. David, how are things in your neck of the woods?

And that's also good to hear. Last but not least is Immanuel Tims. I hear you're involved in a production in high school. How's that going?

Bet you're excited. As they say in show business, "Break a leg!" However, we do want your extremities intact as you spin the wheel today.
What do you say we play some Wheel of Fortune?
*spins wheel*
$500 is the top dollar value for our first round. Be careful not to hit Bankrupt because if you do, you lose your cash but not your merchandise because once you buy a prize, it's yours to keep. I'll cue up the next camera angle which will be Susan at the puzzle board, showing you three the first puzzle of the game.
There it is. The category for it is Person. I now have to remind our players that Person does not always mean Proper Name. Just before the show, we drew numbers to see who would begin our game.
Matt, it's going to be you. Get us started!
