Going for a job in data entry in a dental office? That should be a low to mid-stress job. I have done that in a private office setting while I was in college and while it did help me get some peace and quiet, it also quickly got me sleepy, but thankfully, taking night classes helped me overcome that problem. One of my biggest weaknesses is being still at one point and getting sleepy quickly, so I always like to move around to help me get going with my day.
That being said, good luck to you as well.
Audience, let's hear it for our players!
(Audience Cheers and Applause)OK, now that we've got to know our players a little bit better, let's get back to the game, but first, let's recap the scores...
[NELS] --- [SHEDERICK] --- [WILLIAM]
[$3070] --- [$5500] --- [$725]
Nels has $3,070; Shederick has $5,500 and William has $725.
Now we're about to play the second half of the first round, which is called
Categories and Bombs.
[CATEGORIES] --- [AND] --- [BOMBS]
[*****] --- [*****] --- [*****]
SPIN 0 OUT OF 10
BOMB PAYOUT: $****
As you can now see, we're now using the bottom row of reels, and notice that they are colored, and if you have played "
Drop The Bomb", then you should know what's going to happen here.
The first reel colored red is the
Category Reel, and it is here that we've loaded up 7 different categories, and tonight, the categories for this half of the round are...
TV STARS
TAKE A LETTER
PLAYS
STRANGE NAMES
RELIGIONS
STATE CAPITALS
GEOLOGY
TV Stars, Take A Letter, Plays, Strange Names, Religions, State Capitals, and Geology.
Now, Take A Letter is a category where the correct answer will begin with a certain letter.
The second reel colored in yellow is the
Contract Reel. That will determine the maximum amount of questions you need to answer. It can now be anywhere between 1 to 5 questions.
The third and final colored in green is the
Money Reel, as it now contains cash from $50 to $300 in $25 increments, and we've also have the Joker in there as well.
If the Joker pops up there this time, you will have 30 seconds to answer up to 10 True-or-False statements, and each correct answer will add $100 to your total.
BUT! If you notice the "Spin 0 out of 10" on the machine, that's important as well as I'll tell you about that in a moment.
Now in this half of the round, there's more strategy involved. The player in control will spin the machine, setting up the category, the contract, and how much money each question is worth. In order to bank the money, you must answer at least half of the questions required in the contract.
In the case of 3 questions, you must answer at least 2, and in the case of 5 questions, you must answer at least 3.
All questions in this round will have multiple choices, and when half of the contract is complete, you have the option to bank the money from the pot, or keep going. Be careful, though, because if at anytime you miss a question, and that includes from the Joker Speed Round, the other players can buzz in and steal the entire pot with one correct answer and gain control.
But you may notice that this second half of the round is called "Categories and Bombs"! And we've named that for a reason. Because on the Money Reel, we also have these...
(Audience Boos and Hisses)That's right! The
Bob-Ombs are here, and what happens when one of them pops up? Well...
the player in control must answer ALL of the questions in the contract, and the bomb's question value will be determined at random, ranging anywhere between $10 to $1,000. If the player is incorrect, that player will be locked out based on how many questions they had to answer. Also, all questions with the Bombs will not be multiple choice.
But there's an additional punishment to that as well.
The first Bob-Omb is a
Passive Bob-Omb, and if you are incorrect at any time, then your score will be
cut in half every time the number of questions you had to answer remain. For example, if you had 2 questions left to answer, your score will be cut in half TWICE!
The second Bob-Omb is an
Active Bob-Omb, and any one wrong answer will earn you a Strike PLUS, the Bob-Omb will
divide your score by 10, rounding up to the nearest 5.
The third and final Bob-Omb is the King of Bob-Ombs himself,
King Bob-Omb, and you REALLY don't want to get a wrong answer from him. Why?
Because it's an
automatic three strikes, and you will be
Eliminated from the game immediately!
Now the round ends when one of two scenarios occur:
1. The leading player reaches the Round Winning Goal.
2. One is Bombed Out with Three Strikes.
If the Round Winning Goal is reached, we will eliminate the player in last place, but if the player gets three strikes, that player is eliminated. The eliminated player will deposit their remaining winnings into the
Natural Triple Cash Jackpot, and since that this is the first episode of the reincarnated series, we'll start the Natural Triple Cash Jackpot at:
NATURAL TRIPLE CASH JACKPOT:
$10,000
(Drum Beats; Cha-Ching!)$10,000!
(Audience Cheers and Applause)Now based on the players' scores and performances from the first half of the round, we're going to set the Round Winning Goal at:
[CATEGORIES] --- [AND] --- [BOMBS]
[*****] --- [*****] --- [*****]
SPIN 0 OUT OF 10
BOMB PAYOUT: $****
GOAL: $6,500
(Ding)$6,500, so that means that Shederick is $1,000 away from winning this round, but these Bob-Ombs have got something to say about that, and if in the event that no one has reached the goal after the first 10 spins, then we'll
Double the amounts, including Jokers, where the correct answers will be worth $200 each. The Bob-Omb payouts will be the only thing that won't.
Now in this second half, the player who answered the most riddles correctly from the first half will get to go first. We've done the calculations, and Nels has answered 6 correct riddles, Shederick answered 8, and William answered 5, which means that Shederick is going to have control.
[NELS] --- [SHEDERICK] --- [WILLIAM]
[$3070] --- [$5500] --- [$725]
Shederick, your lever is now active. Give it a spin and good luck.
