Now -- let's recap this chain. Diamonds are precious gems. A mother considers her baby in a car as precious cargo. Another word for cargo, particularly on a train, is freight. An elevator designed to carry freight is called, you guessed it, a freight elevator. Any elevator that's not operating correctly or has mechanical problems is out of order. And "Out of Order", as we noted earlier, is the title of an album by Rod Stewart.
