Nels, I'll need you to do three things for us to begin.
First, select a number higher than 0 but lower than 52. This will determine how deep into the shuffled deck you wish to cut the cards.
Second, select one of the letters of G A M B I T.
Third, select a number from the Gambit Board, the numbers 1 through 18 are available to you.

Very well, and the first hand you have to beat is... An 18, that's tough. Under number 1 is 15 to 25 and the randomizer stopped at 22, so this first hand will be worth $1,100 in betting money to you Nels. One rule change I'm making even before we start, you may use a power chip at ANY time now, not just if a card puts you over, okay? But you have only 2 to use, plus there's one more hidden on the Gambit Board someplace... First card for your consideration, as you're needing 19 or better to get the $1,100... A 3. Do you want to keep that or use your first power chip Nels?

Very well, the 3 is yours. Trying to get to 19 or better without going over 21. Here's the next card for your consideration Nels... A Jack of Spades. That would give you 13 if you keep it and would keep both your power chips still. How do you want to play it?

You now have 13 total Nels... And that's a vulnerable hand because you could go over 21 with the next card. You do have 2 power chips, and one would have to be used on the next card if it happens to be higher than 8. For this reason, we have one other element to this game, the surrender option... If you want to guarantee keeping both of your power chips, you could elect to surrender this hand right now. By doing so, you would be guaranteed $150 in your betting bank. This current hand is worth $1,100 if you can get to 19 or more without going over 21. If you elect not to surrender, and the next card is higher than an 8, it will cost you a power chip, but you would again be given the option to surrender or draw the next card. How do you want to proceed Nels?

Hoping for a 6, 7 or 8 here... (groans) That would put you over, so we'll have to chip that card out... We are still needing a 6, 7 or 8 now... And incidentally, any 21 will earn you another power chip too! Next card please... (scattered mumbles) A 4. If you keep it you'll have 17 and again can decide if you want to surrender or continue. Or you can use your last power chip, discard the 4 and hope the next card will be a 6, 7 or 8. How do you play it Nels?

Very well, the chips are gone now...as is the 4. Giving up the chance at $350 guaranteed. Looking once again for a 6, 7 or 8... Next card! (buzzer) That 10 puts you over. But take heart, there are still 3 more cracks at money at the Gambit Board! The totals 15 through 18 have been reshuffled and hidden behind the six letters in GAMBIT. Nels, please select a letter and another number at this time.

And that is 25 to 35 times! A nice big one there! And the random number this time... A big one! 34! So this hand will be worth $1,700 if you can beat a 15 Nels! First card... A six of hearts. Keep it or chip it out? Keep in mind we use the same 52 card deck throughout this end game, so if you can remember what cards have already been played, that may work to your advantage.

(Applause) The audience seems to agree with that decision Nels. Trying to beat 15, so all you need now is a ten, an Ace, or a face... Next card please... A 4 of Diamonds. That would give you 10 total if you kept it. Keep it or chip it away?

You now have 10... If the next card is 6 or higher, it will mean $1,700 into your betting bank. If it happens to be an ace, it will be $1,700 plus another Power Chip. Next card... A 9! That's a winner! (applause) $1,700 in your betting bank right now Nels, and two more hands to play... Please select a letter and a number again Nels.

Under the T this time... 16, not too bad... And under the 12... 10 to 20 times $50....and the randomizer stops on... 17, so this hand value could be worth up to $850 more to your betting bank Nels. Trying to beat 16, first card... A 7 of Hearts for your consideration. Keep it or chip it out?

Wanting to get 17 or better so again a ten, a face or an ace will be a winner for you... That's got it! (applause) $2,550 in your betting bank so far, and one more chance to increase it... Since you did not win all 3 hands, this board will not be worth double. That being said, we have replaced one of the remaining cards on the board with a "Double Next Pick" card, and there is one other possible bonus card up there as well. Select a letter and a number please Nels.

Good only a 15 to beat again! Number 14 has 20 to 30, and the randomizer stopped at 27, so this hand is worth $1,350 to your betting bank... First card... It is a 5 of Hearts. You still have that power chip if you want to use it.

(applause) Next card... A King of Diamonds, worth 10... Needing 16 or better to bring your betting bank up to $3,900 Nels. If the next card happens to be an Ace, you're betting bank will grow by $2,500 instead, plus you'll get another Power Chip... Next card... (applause & cheers) That's a nice card to get now.... You have $3,900 in your betting bank Nels... Time for the final showdown... We're going to keep dealing you cards for your final Blackjack hand. Once you reach a score of 12 or more, I'll ask if you wish to freeze or continue. If you go over 21, you will wipe out and win $0, so be careful... No power chips so you must take the cards you are dealt. First card... A KING Of Spades that time! Nice start, worth ten... Should your next card be an Ace, you'll automatically win double your betting bank... Does he win $7,800 right here and now??? No, but you do have a 7, giving you a pretty good hand of 17... Nels, do you wish to freeze or continue?

(applause) Very well, you have 17. We will now show you the house's first card. After you see it, you will make a wager as to how confident you are that your 17 will beat the dealer's hand. You must wager at least half, or $1,950 but you may wager more. As always, the house must hit on 16 and below, and will freeze on 17 and above. In the event of a tie, it will be a push, no win or no loss, okay? First card for the dealer... A 5. Not a very good start for the dealer. Nels, you have $3,900. You must wager at least half, but you can bet anything from half up to all of it. What is your bet?
