The reboot of one of my games, that I've hosted the most episodes of, is finally here!
Wheel of Fortune 1975
Here is a rundown of what to expect for this version of the Wheel.
Main Game: -Top Dollar Values will be $500 (round 1); $750 (round 2); $1,000 (round 3+) -Games will last either 3 or 4 rounds. If there is a round 4, it'll be played for a gift certificate (whether it goes into speed-up or not.) -House Minimum is $100 -Buy a Vowel is present. If you land on it (and you have $250), you must call a vowel. If your vowel is not in the puzzle or you don't have $250, your turn is lost. -There is no bonus round. Whoever has the highest total at the end, wins and comes back the next day.
Speed-Up: -Games may end with no speed-up. -For the first five games/episodes, if the game ends in a speed-up, vowels may not be called at all (possibly the original rules from this time period? Going by how Chuck explained it in the audio episode from July of 1975) -If a Speed-Up occurs in Round 3, there will be shopping.
Shopping: -Unlike the show (at this time), I will not have the contestants arrange three prize showcases in the order they'd like. Each prize platform/showcase will be randomly picked for each puzzle solve. -After solving, you may elect to put all of your money on account. -Once you're done shopping, you'll be allowed to either put the remaining amount on account or on a gift certificate (since this option was available at least as early as July of 1975) -Any money you put on account can be lost to a Bankrupt.
Returning Champions: -No Winnings Limit -May Stay On For 5 Games
Other Notes: -I will use random.org to determine your positions and the spins for the game.
Players: 1. David 2. Kevin 3. Matt

*applause* I'm sure that'll definitely help with our game today, good luck to you. Now, let's take a look at our Wheel of Fortune... *spins the wheel* Top dollar value on our wheel for the first round is $500! Look out for the space marked 'Bankrupt,' because if you hit it, you'll lose all of your cash, but not your merchandise because once you buy a prize, it's your's to keep. Now take a look at our puzzle for round one... We're looking for a THING. Just before the show, we had random.org determine where our players would stand, and it chose Kevin to be at the red spot. So he's first to spin. Good luck!
