Time to begin our second week on High Rollers, and Matt Riggenberg is our champion with a two day total of $33,984. Now, due to a problem with one of the questions in the last match, we are bringing back James Greek for a rematch in this episode. If I could have both Matt and James kindly check in, we will begin the match.

James and Matt, let's go. All deadlines are 48 hours, as usual. (cue intro) Rich: And now, a game of high stakes, where every decision is a gamble. And every move could be your last. High Rollers! (cue theme) And here's the man with all the action, Mark Liotta! (I come out to a tremendous applause to the audience) Me: Thank you. Thank you very much, Rich. (Theme ends) Welcome again to High Rollers everybody. Hope you all enjoyed your weekend, because I know our players did. One of our players went into the weekend with almost $34,000 in his pocket and we're going to meet him right now along with his opponent. Rich, introduce us to our two contestants please. Rich: Gladly, Mark. Player 1 is our returning champion Matt Riggenberg. Matt works as a courtesy clerk in Council Bluffs, Iowa and has a two day total of $33,984 cash and prizes. And challenging Matt today is James Greek. Me: Now folks, do not adjust your set. This is indeed the same pair of players you saw on Friday, and I will explain exactly what happened. During game two, we had a question about Cyndi Lauper's hit Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and I ruled James as incorrect. However, when we checked our source material afterwards, it turns out we got the film version mixed up with the song version and James was actually correct. Because of that error likely affecting the outcome of the match, we decided to bring James back on today's show. So Matt and James, good luck to both of you once again as we get ready to play our first game. Rich, what prize do we have in column one? Rich: In column one, a laptop computer. From Toshiba, this 17.3 inch laptop comes with 16 gigabyte memory and is valued at $2,015. Me: And what do we have in column two? Rich: In column two, a pair of paddleboards. From Kaku Kayaks, these paddleboards come with 11 feet six inch kayaks and include all the necessary accessories. This prize is worth $2,300. Me: And finally, we need a prize for column three. Rich: In column three, a collection of smart appliances. Includes washer and electric dryer from EnergyStar, as well as dishwasher, robotic vacuum and mop. This prizes is worth $5,028. The total value of this game's board comes to $9,343. Me: I do believe this is the cheapest board we've had so far in terms of combined prize values. Anyway, let's load up the numbers onto the board.
7 3 5 2 4 6 1 9 8
And our hot column is column one. Get a ten and you could end up with a laptop computer. All right, here comes our first question of this match. In the Sonic The Hedgehog games, what is the name of the villain that Sonic has to battle?

Right you are, James. All rolls are good, so go ahead and roll those dice.

Get the eight off the board.
7 3 5 2 4 6 1 9 X
And let's go to our next question. What 2000 comedy film was inspired by the 1980 Pennsylvania Lottery scandal?

That's the film. And all the numbers on the board are still good to roll, so roll those dice James.

5 and 7 come off the board.
X 3 X 2 4 6 1 9 X
Get a six and you could win some smart appliances. Also, you get an insurance marker for rolling a double. (I hand James an insurance marker) And here comes our next question. What is a young turkey referred to as?

No, they're called poults. James, you retain control of the dice. All rolls are still good, so roll those dice

Get that six off the board.
X 3 X 2 4 X 1 9 X
And just like that, James, you have those smart appliances on your prize board. Of course, you must win this round in order to claim the prize. Next question coming up right now. The country that we call Japan is a stratovolcanic archipelago of how many islands?

That's a lot of islands. But that also happens to be the correct answer. And James, believe it or not, all numbers are still good so roll those dice

The 3 and the 4 it is.
X X X 2 X X 1 9 X
James, if you get the next question right and then roll a 12, you'll clear off the whole board. Next question coming up right now. Raindrops begin forming when water vapor condenses on micrometer-sized particles of dust floating in the atmosphere. True or false?

That's right! Now James, there are only three numbers left on the board. You can roll the dice and hope for a good number, or you can pass to Matt. Keep in mind that you have an insurance marker and Matt doesn't. What's your decision, James?

Well I know Matt hasn't had a chance to roll today so I am going to pass the dice to him.

Very well. Matt, the dice are now yours. A 9, 2 or 12 would be good. An eleven would be bad, though, because even though it would get the 9 and 2 off the board, it would also result in James winning the round because you can't get a 1 with two dice. Good luck Matt

Well Matt, you stay alive by rolling a double. However, since the 8 is a bad number, there's no point in me giving you an insurance marker since I would have to take it back from you right away. You get another shot at the dice, though. Good luck
