For the car, is it Andy Griffith? (wrong)(audience groans) Oh man! No it is not. I'm sorry, I thought it was myself. It certainly makes sense. You still have two rolls to go, so let's see how your third comes out. (he rolls)
[6] [4]
[M][A][Y][B][E][R][R][Y]
[?][2][3][4][5] [6][7][8][9]
[C][2][3][4][?][6][7] [8][9][10][11]
Six and four, or a ten.

(no guess)All right. One final roll coming up. (Michael takes the dice from Nikki and rolls them) The old Lawrence Welk again. [1] [2]

All right, Michael. Here we are again. If you can solve this puzzle right now, you will have won your fifth game and a brand new car. Your clues are "Mayberry" and "These Days". Solve the puzzle.

Oh! Is it Ron Howard?

Post by palmer7 on Jan 28, 2015 22:07:23 GMT -5
Is it Ron Howard? (wrong)No, it is not. Hands on buzzers, we have another toss-up question. Finish this saying by Benjamin Franklin: "Nothing is certain but death and...."?(buzzcode and answer, please)

(buzzcode: 74) *Mark buzzes in (76)*Mark? Mark: taxesIsn't that the truth? Mark, you're right. (audience cheers) Take a look at the board.
[ ] [ ]
[M][A][Y][B][E][R][R][Y]
[T][H][E][S][E] [D][A][Y][S]
[C][2][3][4][?][6][7] [8][9][10][11]
Since Michael solved the first two puzzles, that sort of limits you. I must remind you that if you cannot clear any numbers at all in a roll, you lose control and Michael gets a free letter. Now, you can subvert this by passing and hoping he can't clear a number. Will you roll or pass?

I have to roll

Post by palmer7 on Jan 29, 2015 9:02:15 GMT -5
Son, you don't have to do anything you don't want to do. But, if you really want to roll, then you go ahead and roll. (he does) [4] [1]
[M][A][Y][B][E][R][R][Y]
[T][H][E][S][E] [D][A][Y][S]
[C][2][3][4][?][6][7] [8][9][10][11]
Well, this makes your decision a lot easier, it would seem. Since the 1 is already used and the 5 is locked, we'll have to use the four. (Brie touches the screen) (ding) [ ] [ ]
[M][A][Y][B][E][R][R][Y]
[T][H][E][S][E] [D][A][Y][S]
[C][2][3][N][?][6][7] [8][9][10][11]
An N. Do you have a guess?

Nope

(no guess)Very well. Same option. Roll, or pass? (audience shouts suggestions)

Roll

|
Post by palmer7 on Jan 29, 2015 23:20:22 GMT -5
All right, he's going to roll. Good luck. (he gets the dice back and rolls) One and three.... but since one and four are already revealed, we're giving you the three! (Brie touches the screen) (ding) [ ] [ ]
[M][A][Y][B][E][R][R][Y]
[T][H][E][S][E] [D][A][Y][S]
[C][2][U][N][?][6][7] [8][9][10][11]
A U. Do you have a guess now?

Not yet. I'll roll again

Post by palmer7 on Jan 29, 2015 23:52:31 GMT -5
(no guess)All right. You want to be careful, now, because if you can't clear any numbers, you lose control and Michael gets a free letter. (Mark takes the dice anyway, and rolls)
[4] [5]
[M][A][Y][B][E][R][R][Y]
[T][H][E][S][E] [D][A][Y][S]
[C][2][U][N][?][6][7] [8][9][10][11]
Four and five, or in your case, the nine! (Brie touches the screen) (ding)
[ ] [ ]
[M][A][Y][B][E][R][R][Y]
[T][H][E][S][E] [D][A][Y][S]
[C][2][U][N][?][6][7] [8][A][10][11]
And we have an A. Do you have a guess?

Not yet. I'll take the last roll

(no guess)Audience: You'll be sorrr-REEEE!Greg: Never mind, he's going to roll anyway.
[2] [5]
[M][A][Y][B][E][R][R][Y]
[T][H][E][S][E] [D][A][Y][S]
[C][2][U][N][?][6][7] [8][A][10][11]
Two and five, with no five actually, or a seven. So, you can either take the two or the seven.

Post by GameShowNetwork on Jan 30, 2015 9:04:30 GMT -5
I'll go with the seven
|
|

And that seven gives you.... (Brie touches the screen) (ding)

[T][H][E][S][E] [D][A][Y][S]

A Y. Do you have a guess?

May as well try it since I need to stay alive. I'll guess Country Ball
|
|
|
Post by palmer7 on Jan 30, 2015 10:42:04 GMT -5
Is it "country ball"? (wrong)No it is not, Mark. Hands on buzzers, we've got another tossup question. According to Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People, what is, to another person, "the sweetest and most important sound in any language"?(buzzcode and answer, please)
|
|
|
Post by palmer7 on Jan 30, 2015 15:54:07 GMT -5
(buzzcode: 85) *Mark buzzes in (45)*Mark? Mark: A person's nameYou are right, Mark. I will now demonstrate. Please come over here. (he does, I put my arm around his shoulder) Mark, my friend... the board lies before you.
[ ] [ ]
[M][A][Y][B][E][R][R][Y]
[T][H][E][S][E] [D][A][Y][S]
[C][2][U][N][?][6][Y] [8][A][10][11]
As you can see, Mark, anything involving a two or anything involving a six would be most ideal for you. Anything adding up to an 8 other than two fours would work as well. If you cannot clear any number off the board, then you lose control and Michael gets a free letter, he could solve it, and you'd be left with $500 and some luggage or something. Now you don't want that, do you Mark?

|
|
Post by GameShowNetwork on Jan 30, 2015 15:55:51 GMT -5
No, I certainly don't. Therefore, I will roll
|
|
|
Post by palmer7 on Jan 30, 2015 16:06:10 GMT -5
All right then, go over there and roll. Michael, why don't you stand over here by me just so nobody can accuse me of being partial? (Michael does so as Mark rolls)
[6] [1]
[M][A][Y][B][E][R][R][Y]
[T][H][E][S][E] [D][A][Y][S]
[C][2][U][N][?][6][Y] [8][A][10][11]
Six and one, or a seven. Now, Michael, what does it look like to you as the most likely choice for clearing a number, considering the one and seven are already revealed?
