I am not sure on this one. But an eagle does symbolize our great nation, so I am going to agree.

(cheers and applause)Steve Anderson... here's your question. What Manhattan intersection was America's first transfer circle?

Post by asja2002 on Feb 1, 2020 19:29:05 GMT -5
The corner of Regis St. and Kathie Lee Avenue. *mixed groans* not my best, I’ll admit.
I’ve spent some time in NYC recently, and took advantage of the 7th ave/42nd st transfer circle quite a bit. I don’t believe that is the first to operate in Manhattan. I believe it’s a few blocks over,
at E 42nd and Park Avenue

The Manhattan intersection that was America's first transfer circle was actually... Columbus Circle. Circle gets the square. (applause, ding)(commercial cue)And we're gonna pause for a couple of minutes. We'll have the thrilling conclusion of The Hollywood Squares coming right up. But first, here a Match Game/Hollywood Squares Hour Quickie. We'll return with the answer as well as the conclusion of The Hollywood Squares right after this from Universal Pictures. *back to studio* (commercial cue, cheers and applause)TONY: OK... time's up. Let's take a look at the answer. It was the star of the upcoming film "F9"... Vin Diesel. Welcome back to The Hollywood Squares. We have just started round 3 and, so far, the challenger Lenny is in the lead with $5,000 while our champion JC has $1,000. OK, champ... it's now your turn. Please select a square.

(time up buzzer)Time's up. Since JC didn't select a square after the 24 hour deadline expiration, it's time for me to activate the randomizer.... a.k.a. The Terminator. In a matter of seconds, the lights will flash in tandem order. By the time I hit the plunger, the light will land in the selected square. Let's get to it... and... stop! (stops randomizer)(beep-beep-beep)(cheers and applause)The Terminator has chosen Matt Bingel, host of "The New Hollywood Squares" on the USA Network. Bingel... What is the proper name of the flower more commonly referred to as "dandelion"?
