Judges *i get the look* *Buzzer* *audience groans*
The title of the show is “Double Dare” I realize that may have been a typo, and we can account for misspelling, so long as it doesn’t intrinsically change the answer. That means another $500 for Lenny and Justin
Lenny ($2100) Justin ($2100) James ($ 900)
Madonna is of course an immensely successful singer. What we want to know is:
1. What is her real last name?
2. The Actor Madonna Famously Married in 1985?

All three are correct and adds $200 more for each of you... ![](https://i.imgur.com/TjZF9ew.png) *Round End Chimes* We look at our scores and we have a TIE for first place: Lenny and Justin each have $3,000...and James has won for himself a sum of $1,300.... Nobody got a singleton today, but since they paid for a promotional spot anyway, Randy: Tell our contestants what we had for them.... Randy: It was a 2020 Kawasaki motorcycle! The new Z900 ABS motorcycle receives a host of new advanced features and epitomizes Kawasakis belief of what the ideal supernaked should be. At 948cc with an ultra-lightweight chassis, every ride is met with exceptional power, responsiveness and excitement. This prize was worth $8,399! But to pay for license, helmet and registration we would have included a check for $1,601 to make this bonus worth
$10,000! Maybe next time, Steve!
Thanks Randy! *Commercial Bed* As Randy said we may offer that prize again down the road. Right now it's time to go to a commercial and when we come back our three contestants will be in a race to finish first in the countdown round and a chance at that beautiful new car! We'll be back for the countdown round after these words....
*Applause,Fade Out*
*************************************
***************************************' Randy: We'll be back with the Countdown Round after this!
*Real-Life Note: I'll be away from my keyboard for the evening, the Countdown Round will commence tomorrow afternoon R-T*

*Logo rolls off screen, end of bumper music, applause* ![](https://i.imgur.com/nzFY0w4.png) Welcome back to Split Second... We are now set to go into the Countdown Round. Let's look at our scores to this point.... ![](https://i.imgur.com/TjZF9ew.png) Lenny and Justin each have won $3,000. James has $1,300 to his credit. Those monies are yours to keep. But your performance in the first two round has a weight on how we play this round. Instead of each of you picking a clue and answering it individually, the first to buzz in has the opportunity to answer up to all three parts of the question. Contestants, while we allowed your responses to flow one after the other in the first two rounds, Please wait until I have confirmed the result of your first answer before moving on to the next, as an incorrect answer will allow the next in line the opportunity to solve it and earn the point for themself. Each time you answer correctly you count down one, and the first to reach zero will win the game, a $2,500 bonus, and a chance at the Dodge Viper. The others will still go home with their respective monies. How many answers you will have to give is dependent on your finish at the end of the last round.... ![](https://i.imgur.com/5fn4Ob3.png) Lenny and Justin you both tied for first, so you will each need 4 correct answers to win. James you will need 5. Audience I caution you not to blurt out any answers. We begin the countdown round, now.... *Countdown Round Music* I’ll give you a Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, name the President who appointed the Justice to their post. 1. Stephen Breyer
2. Ruth Bader Ginsburg
3. Clarence Thomas

*A phone rings offstage, Jerry and Henry approach my lectern and whisper something in my ear as S+P stand by*
* I discuss their situation with them, nod in affirmation*
Folks....It has come to my attention that their were some complications with the regarding eligibility paperwork with our Network of Record, which happens to handle other programs at another studio in the area.
James cannot proceed in this game.
Lenny, Justin.... I want to apologize for the circumstances at hand. Here is how I'd like to fix the situation. Since it is already up to the countdown round, If the two of you wish to continue, we play the game out between the two of you. Winner goes for the car, Runner-up receives an invite to play the next match when Tony returns to his podium. Is this a fair decision for both of you? Again I apologize for this result
