Used to be sold here, but not anymore. Sorry about that, William.
Well, Kevin, this is it. One more right answer and you'll have over four grand, plus a chance at much more in Fast Bucks. For the game, what's your answer?

[SERIES OF DINGS, THEME PLAYS, APPLAUSE, ETC.]
Told ya you'd get 'em next time! That's $4,100 to your name now, Kevin. William, join me over here - you haven't won this time, but you have the few thousand from the last game you won to soften the blow. As for you, Kevin, we're gonna come back in just a minute and give you a chance at seventeen and a half grand. Hopefully you folks at home will stick around for that, stay with us...

[FADE UP, APPLAUSE]
Alright, that was a pretty tense round of Pass the Buck, but Kevin Kolsen has prevailed, and he has a bit over four grand to show for those efforts. Now, Kevin, I have to ask - I mentioned that was a tense round, but how did things feel for you as we got deeper into that game?

To be honest, I wasn't sure of Mars Bars myself. I only know about them now from reading Harry Potter.

Which does make a lot of sense. The fact of the matter is, William ended up guessing and getting it wrong, and so here you are. Let's get you some more money, shall we?
$17,500 [_________] [_________][_________] [_________][_________][_________] [_________][_________][_________][_________]
Just four right answers between you and seventeen and a half thousand dollars, Kevin. We're gonna start you off at the bottom, and there, we have the names of four TV network news anchors, past or present. Remember just one of these will keep you in the running.
Here comes your 10 guesses, and here comes your big chance. Good luck to you, Kevin... go!

Tom Brokaw...
[DING!]
$17,500 [_________] [_________][_________] [_________][_________][_________] [_________][_________][_________][TOM BROKAW]
...David Muir.
[DING!]
$17,500 [_________] [_________][_________] [_________][_________][_________] [_________][DAVID MUIR][_________][TOM BROKAW]
[BUZZ! AUDIENCE AWWWWWS]
You got halfway home on that one, and you had a lot of names we could have had up there. Who made up the other half we needed?
[TRILONS TURN]
$17,500 [_________] [_________][_________] [_________][_________][_________] [ROBERT MACNEIL][DAVID MUIR][FRANK REYNOLDS][TOM BROKAW]
Well, Robert Macneil, who was one half of the Macneil-Lehrer Newshour, and Frank Reynolds, one of the best newsmen ABC ever had. You know, I notice there aren't any CBS names up there... I hope we don't get in trouble for that.
[SOME AUDIENCE LAUGHTER]
Kevin, you got what you needed there, so we now go to line two, where you can win $17,500 by naming for us three cities that have hosted Olympic Games, summer or winter. That's all that's standing between you and the jackpot.
Here we go again, ten more guesses, ready, Kevin... and go.

Salt Lake City...
[DING!]
$17,500 [_________] [_________][_________] [_________][_________][SALT LAKE CITY] [_________][DAVID MUIR][_________][TOM BROKAW]
(and eventually...)
[BUZZ! AUDIENCE AWWWWWS]
You're still alive! You're still very much in this, Kevin - but let's show you what you missed...
[TRILONS FLIP]
$17,500 [_________] [_________][_________] [RIO DE JANEIRO][MOSCOW][SALT LAKE CITY] [_________][DAVID MUIR][_________][TOM BROKAW]
How soon we forget... Rio hosted just a few years ago, and Moscow hosted one of the infamous 1980 Olympic Games. If you don't know why it's infamous, just ask your search engine of choice and you'll get an answer very quickly.
[some audience laughter]
Kevin, we move now to line three, where you can get the jackpot by naming two fruits. That's all that's standing between you and the jackpot.
Take a second and relax. Get ready with your 10 guesses... and go.

(now that I have access to my question files again...)
[BUZZ! AUDIENCE AWWWWWS AND GROANS]
Well, hey, you gave some good answers, they just weren't the ones up there. Let's have a look at what you needed...
[TRILONS FLIP]
$17,500 [_________] [RASPBERRY][APRICOT] [_________][_________][SALT LAKE CITY] [_________][DAVID MUIR][_________][TOM BROKAW]
A different type of berry than the ones you were going for, and also apricots, which are pretty good, if I do say so myself.
Well, no jackpot, so everybody else, take your sigh of relief now. Kevin, as for you, you revealed three boxes across those first two rows, and at $500 a piece, that's $1,500 for you. When we add that to what you've won already, you have now $5,600!
[AUDIENCE APPLAUSE, CHEERS]
More money going into the jackpot, next game's winner plays for $20,000, and we'll start to figure out who'll play that next Fast Bucks round in just a minute here...

[FADE UP]
Well, someone worked out the math during the break, and apparently, we've given 10 grand away on the dot so far today, and we could give away a fair bit more, because there's plenty of time left. Gentlemen, you're all still here, of course, and with every game you all stick around, the stakes get bigger and bigger. For this game, as you folks at home can see, our play order, randomly determined by our friends at RANDOM.ORG, is Kevin, then Matt, then William, then James. Let's get the pot going with a fresh stake of $500...
[DING!]
...and Kevin, we were just asking you about fruit, so let's shift to a different kind of fruit, namely a fruit company. To survive this round, we want you all to name products currently made by Apple, and we ask you, please, to be as specific as you can with your answers. On that cautionary note, Kevin, we start passing the buck with you.

Yes!
[DING! DING! DING!]
Kevin, Matt, just as quickly as you came back over here, you're headed back to the bullpen for now, but on the other hand, you may be back here again before too long.
Now, let me explain what I meant by "not the specific we were going for"... Kevin, when you said iPhone, we wanted you to name a specific model of the phone... you could have said iPhone 8, iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and the list goes on. As it was, "iPhone" alone wasn't going to cut it in the current time period. Now, had we been filming this in 2007, you could have done it no problem, but we're still waiting on the time travel, I'm afraid, so there you go.
[mild laughter from audience]
James, we're in an interesting position here. You're one of the final two in this round, and you haven't even given an answer yet... but your period of waiting ends now. We're headed into the world of video games - William, James, to survive this round, please name for us any Pokemon from the first two generations of the series. That's Kanto and Johto, if my fading memory serves me correctly. Lots of possible answers here, and while the pot is only at $600 right now, it could go a lot higher with this question. James, care to have a go?
