[judge hesitates for a few seconds, then...]
[BUZZ!]
It’s not on our list, I’m afraid. Sorry about that.
James, you’re one right answer away from close to $4 thousand in cash. For the game, your answer, please.

[SERIES OF DINGS]
That is right and you have won the game!
Kourtney, come on over here and wait in what I suppose is our bullpen, as it were.
As for you, James, you've just won yourself $3,900 in cash for surviving that tense soda battle, and right now, you have a chance to win a fair bit more than that. Join me over here, and in just a few minutes, we're going to give you a chance at Fast Bucks. Do stick around, won't you? Thank you much.

[FADE UP]
Well, here we are. To my right, we have Kourtney, Nels and Antonio, waiting anxiously to see how things unfold here. To my left is James, who's just won $3,900 and is going for plenty more in Fast Bucks. Earlier I mentioned you could win at least $10,000 here - that was a bit of a mental slip there, as it were. As a matter of fact, James, you're playing right now for $15,000. Should you fail to win it, everybody will be back in play, and the winner of our next game goes for $17,500.
$15,000 [_________] [_________][_________] [_________][_________][_________] [_________][_________][_________][_________]
Now, James, let me tell you there are two ways to win here. One, you can reveal all the answers on any of these four rows. Two, you can reveal at least one answer on each of the rows. $500 for every answer you reveal if you don't make it, so try to do the best you can here, alright? As long as you reveal at least one answer on a row, you're still in this.
On this bottom row, now, we have hidden the names of four board games. Board games are the subject. You're going to get ten guesses to try and name as many as you can. Reveal them all, that's 15 grand. 10 guesses on the clock - ready... go!

James: Monopoly...

$15,000 [_________] [_________][_________] [_________][_________][_________] [MONOPOLY][_________][THE GAME OF LIFE][_________]
...Operation...
[BUZZ!]
[AUDIENCE GROANS]
Well, look at this on the bright side, you’ve got another grand to your name, at minimum. Let’s see what you didn’t get...
[TRILONS FLIP]
$15,000 [_________] [_________][_________] [_________][_________][_________] [MONOPOLY][PARCHEESI][THE GAME OF LIFE][CATAN]
You missed on Parcheesi, and the other one you didn’t get is Catan, which some people would argue is the board game of board games, but that’s neither here nor there.
Well, James, you’re still in this, so we’ll move up to the next line, where we have hidden three world currencies, names of forms of money different countries around the world use. Here’s ten more guesses. Get ready, and... go!

[BUZZ!]
[AUDIENCE GROANS]
Now that was a close one, you almost had it. Let's see what that other one was...
[TRILON FLIPS]
$15,000 [_________] [_________][_________] [RUBLES][YUAN/RENMINBI][EUROS] [MONOPOLY][_________][THE GAME OF LIFE][_________]
Rubles were what we wanted that time, but regardless, you've got plenty of money to your name as we move to the next level...
...and this time, James, we're looking for two measures of length or distance. That's what we want, and we're going to give you ten guesses to get at least one of them. Here they are, and here we go. Ready... go!

...Inch...
[BUZZ!]
[AUDIENCE GROANS AGAIN]
Well, you're still alive. Let's turn that last one around, shall we?
[TRILON FLIPS]
$15,000 [_________] [MILE][FURLONG] [_________][YUAN/RENMINBI][EUROS] [MONOPOLY][_________][THE GAME OF LIFE][_________]
How about a furlong? That would have won you 15 grand, but it's okay.
You have at least another $2,500 no matter what happens on this last row... but name the one Shakespeare play we have back there, and you will be the champion and have another $15,000 to your name. Here are your last 10 guesses, and the best of luck to you James... get ready, go!

[BUZZ!]
[AUDIENCE GROANS ONE MORE TIME]
Ohhhh, that's too bad. You were naming plenty of good options that could have been up there... I tell ya, Shakespeare's take on Frankenstein is my favorite play of all time.
[AUDIENCE LAUGHTER]
Let's see what would have won you the money...
[TRILON FLIPS]
$15,000 [TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA] [MILE][_________] [_________][YUAN/RENMINBI][EUROS] [MONOPOLY][_________][THE GAME OF LIFE][_________]
The Two Gentlemen of Verona was the one we wanted... but don't feel too bad, James. You have five boxes revealed across the first three rows, $500 for each of those, when we add that to what you already have, your total in just one game is $6,400!
[AUDIENCE APPLAUSE]
Jackpot next time goes to $17,500 -- in the meantime, though, everybody's back in play for a chance to win some money, and we're going to start a brand new round right after you take a look at this.

[FADE UP]
And here we go with another game. During the break, we randomly assigned the order of play for this next game we're about to start. This time, it's going to go James, then Kourtney, then Nels, then Antonio. James, that means you're going to start us off as we put $500 in the pot...
[DING!]
...and to survive this first round of this second game, we want you to name subjects you might find taught in a high school class. High school class subjects. James, start us off.
