(1978 CS Intro) ERIN HARRIS: Aces are high, deuces are low! Call it right, and win the dough...on Card Sharks! (1978 CS Theme) And now, here's the host of Card Sharks, Bill Skinner!Thank you, Erin Harris! Welcome to Card Sharks, where we have tons of money waiting to be won, and one of them could hit it big. Will it be our two-time champion, geniusinmath, as he tries to add to his $11,900 total? Or will it be romnserg, his challenger for the day? Only one will be left standing, as we start our first round. It takes two wins to get to the Money Cards, and our two dealers will help us. Please welcome Amber Lancaster and Tiffany Coyne! As always, our champion will start the first round, which means that the first question will go to you, geniusinmath. We asked 100 drivers this question: "Do you still use a map or road atlas to help you get to where you need to go?"How many of them said yes?

I say it is a low number. 23.

So it's 23 from geniusinmath. ding!romnserg, is the actual number higher or lower than 23?

Due to those modern gadgets. I think is a little bit lower.

And it's lower for romnserg. ding! The actual number of drivers who still use a map or road atlas to help them get to where they need to go is... ding-ding-ding!...30, so it is not lower, but it is still a pretty low number. In any case, geniusinmath plays his cards first, and he will get a chance to change his base if he wants to. Amber, what's the base? (J ⋄)It's a Jack, so are you going to play it or change it?

Lower.

Post by Bill Skinner on Feb 6, 2019 15:04:48 GMT -5
So you're going to play the Jack, and is the next card lower?
(8 ♣)
ding!
Yes, it is! Now you can continue to play until either you clear the row and win the round, or you make a mistake, in which case romnserg would assume control of the cards, but he would not be able to change his own base, since he did not win. What would you like to do?

And we'll freeze at the 8, and get into the second question. romnserg, you will answer this time. We asked 100 engaged couples: "Would you consider getting married on Valentine's Day?"How many of them said they would?

I'm gonna say 25.

And higher for geniusinmath. ding! The actual number of engaged couples who would consider getting married on Valentine's Day is... ding-ding-ding!...49, so it is higher, and geniusinmath will play his cards again, starting at the 8. Would you like to play it or change it?

Lower than a Queen?

Right again, and now you are one card away from a win. What's your decision on this one?

This is for the game: If the last card is higher, you take this round; if not, romnserg will play his cards. Is it higher than a 4? (A ♠) ding-ding-ding!(1978 CS Win Cue) And you take a 1-0 lead in the match, but when we come back, we will give romnserg a chance to catch up. More Card Sharks after this. (1978 CS Theme)

Welcome back to Card Sharks! Let's start off a new round, and this time, romnserg will answer the first question. We asked 100 game-show fans:
"Would you like to see classic episodes of The Price is Right, including Bill Cullen and Bob Barker, aired on GSN and Buzzr?"
How many of them said yes?

Wow, you really need to watch every single episode of "The Price Is Right". Anthony, your chances to win depend on that question as I say 50.
