Time now for another episode of Card Sharks. On our last show of 2018, Anthony Long became champ but only won $1500 after busting in the Money Cards. If you'd like to challenge Anthony, sign up here.

Let's get this started. All deadlines are 48 hours and here we go. (CS 78 main theme) Jim: Change an eight Into a Queen And there's a good chance You'll win some green. On.............Card Sharks! And here's the host of Card Sharks, Mark Liotta! (I make my entrance as the logo rises. Audience applauds, logo descends) Me: Thank you very much, Jim Thornton and welcome once again to Card Sharks. (Theme fades out) Happy 2019 to all of you watching out there. Hope you enjoyed the holiday break because I know we did. But now we're back and ready to go once again so let's meet our players for this match on Card Sharks. (Anthony and gameboy run to their podiums) Anthony Long is our current interim champion because Glen is still not back yet, but we do hope he's able to join us again soon. As for Anthony, he has a one day total of just $1500 because he ran into some bad luck with the Money Cards last time. Do you think you can do better tonight, sir?

I can only try. Like my old poster said, "You don't know the outcome unless you try."

That is true. We wish you the best of luck, Anthony. Your opponent tonight will try his best to unseat you, though, and that is gameboy2000. Tell the folks about yourself, sir.

Well we'll see if we can get you some money here to get you a job. Best two out of three wins the match and the first question goes to Anthony. We surveyed 100 people and we asked them "Have you ever made New Year's Resolutions, only to break them immediately within the first two weeks of the year?". Anthony, how many of them said that they've made a resolution and promptly broken it?

(audience boos) The audience doesn't seem to like that call, Anthony. The majority thinks you should've frozen on the seven, but we shall see what happens. Higher than the seven...............a six (6D; buzzer) And it looks like the audience was right, Anthony. Now gameboy has a shot with a seven of his own and you cannot change it, sir.

He's freezing on the eight. (Audience claps; freeze bar moves over the eight; 1978 theme) The audience likes that decision and we're going to take our first break. More Card Sharks after this. (Fade to commercial)
