John J: We're looking for four panelists and a challenger for our current champion Matt for Episode 2 of All-Star Blitz! If you would like to be a panelist or would like to be a contestant, simply reply with the following:
* YOUR NAME * THE SHOW YOU ARE A REGULAR PANELIST OR HOST OF (IF YOU WISH TO BE A PANELIST, WE NEED AT LEAST FOUR) * A NUMBER FROM 1-500 (IF YOU WISH TO BE A CONTESTANT)
From all that apply, four panelists will be randomly chosen, and the challenger that is closest to the secret random number between 1 and 500 will be Matt's challenger. Good luck!

Well done with the last show, you've won me over. I'd like to try my hand at being a panelist, if you'll let me, of course.
My name's Evan Hatfield, and I'm the host of Million Dollar Wheel of Fortune.

(Cue All-Star Blitz theme) (Audience applause) John J: From Million Dollar Wheel of Fortune, Evan Hatfield!
From Chain Reaction, Doug Morris!
From Crosswords, Kevin Kolsen!
And from Attack 25, Matthias Lamers!
All in the game that's just over their heads! John J: And here's the master of the Blitz Board.....
David: Thank you John! Welcome to All-Star Blitz everyone, hello stars! (Stars say "Hello" out of unison) David: It's only Episode 2, we'll get it together. Glad you could join us for another episode of All-Star Blitz. I have two contestants here that want to get their hands on that money I'm giving away. On this side we have our current champion, he's won $30,250 already and he's back for more, say hello to Matt! (Audience applause) And in the challenger's spot today we have Michael Clifford! (Audience applause) David: We'll talk to these guys a little bit at the beginning of Round 2, but right now, let's get into the game. The object of the game is to uncover the six screens on the Blitz Board and figure out what we have hidden there. Each member of the panel is responsible for the column of stars just over their head. For example, here is Evan Hatfield's bottom..... (Audience laughs) David: Now when a screen is surrounded by stars, we'll reveal the piece of the puzzle hidden in that screen. The first player to solve the puzzle wins the round. The first player to win two rounds, wins the game, an extra $2,500 and the chance at $25,000 in the Blitz Bonanza. David: Michael, you're the challenger so you will start Round 1. First, let's show you the category for Round 1..... (Chimes) David: The 1980's. We start Round 1 with two free stars, here they come..... (Stars light up) David: Michael, you'll win $250 for every successful judgement, and you'll lose control of the game to Matt if you ever make a miss-judge. Pick a star and good luck!

David: Doug Morris, host of The $40,000 Chain Reaction here on Net Games Central. (DING!) David: Doug, mint leaf, bourbon, and water are three of the main ingredients of a classic mint julip. What is the fourth?

More bourbon, of course.
(scattered laughter from the crowd)
For the fourth ingredient, try good ol' fashioned pure maple syrup.

David: Michael, Doug says Pure Maple Syrup is the 4th ingredient in a mint julep. Agree or disagree?

David: Back to you again Doug. (DING!) David: Doug, when the McIlhenny Company makes a batch of their famous Tabasco Sauce, they let the sauce ferment in used oak whiskey barrels for a period of time before they bottle it. How long do they let the sauce ferment?
|
|
|
Post by dougmorrisontheair on Dec 6, 2014 8:28:49 GMT -5
Oh, they let it ferment a good long time. As long as a term in The White House -- four years.

David: Michael, Doug says that sauce is aged like a fine 4 year wine. Agree or disagree?

David: Going for the first piece of the puzzle with Evan Hatfield from Million Dollar Wheel of Fortune (DING!) David: Evan, Sally Ride was the first woman astronaut in the US to travel on board the Space Shuttle, but is Sally the first woman astronaut to get into space?
|
|
|
Post by Twentington on Dec 8, 2014 22:37:57 GMT -5
I'm gonna say no. Sally was, what, early 80s? That's 20-something years between the first flight in space and Sally, there had to have been someone else before her.

David: Michael, Evan says no, Sally Ride was not the first woman astronaut in space. For the first piece of the puzzle, agree or disagree?

David: The first woman in space was Valentina Tereshkova, a cosmonaut from Russia. Her historic flight happened on June 16, 1963 aboard the Vostok 6, the final flight of Project Vostok. (Audience applause) (DING!) David: Okay Michael, here's the first piece of this puzzle..... (Chimes) David: The category is The 80's, Michael. Do you want to solve the puzzle or play on to reveal more of the puzzle. Remember if you solve the puzzle, but your solution is wrong, control will pass to Matt. What would you like to do?
