Well, it's the Hump Day episode of Clearance $ale week. I have two open spots and one spot reserved for Marc Enyedy. OPEN SPOT OPEN SPOT Marc Enyedy Now, I'm hoping to have one of these two spots filled by a very special contestant. Here's a picture of his latest success on an iteration of this show: Named Australia's Brainiest Quiz Master in 2006, Stephen Hall won $672,357 in cash and prizes during his 7-night run on Temptation. I've just sent an e-mail out to him, and hopefully, he will respond. So, who'd like to take Marc (and possibly Stephen) on?

Well, I still have to hear back from Stephen. For now, I'll take William (no fair looking at Wikipedia for any of the answers). Now we just have to wait for Stephen to check in.

(pre-opening scene) (Inside Tony Stark's workshop, Greg is working on modifying his Iron Man suit.) Greg: Now, there's got to be a way to boost the juice in this. Friday: (VO) Considering you don't have an implant in your heart, you should be grateful you're getting what you can get. If you don't mind me saying so, sir.Greg: Valid point. Now, we also have to build a suit for Stacey. (He looks through the plans, until he spots something titled "Rescue".) "Rescue". That looks interesting. Friday, begin preliminary construction of Rescue suit. I'll call Stacey so we can get measurements. Friday: (VO) Right away, sir.(And coming down to the workshop is none other than the future Mrs. Tony Stark, Pepper Potts [Gwyneth Paltrow]. She walks in.) Pepper: And what do you think you're doing?(Greg turns to see her) Greg: Pepper! What a pleasant surprise. Pepper: You're supposed to be finding my fiance.Greg: Right, right. Friday, how's Stark Search '18 coming along? (Data pulls up on a video monitor, so far, nothing.) Friday: (VO) So far, nothing.Pepper: So, we're still waiting. In the meantime, you do not have free reign of Tony's workshop.Greg: Tony's not here, and a lovely lady like yourself doesn't know anything about this kind of technology. Pepper: (astonished and outraged) How dare you! I'm the CEO of Stark Industries, so I know much more than you. You are nothing more than an ascended fanboy who is stumbling into this role.Greg: Look, I could never be half the man your man is. Pepper: You never were.Greg: OK, OK, I'm leaving. Got to go to work, anyway. (he quickly suits up and flies out) Bye! [OPENING THEME]
Burton Richardson: (VO) This week, our contestants are competing for a house full of IKEA furniture, a home theater, or a cruise around the world!
And one of our contestants will win everything, including this custom Mach 1 Mustang......
And as much as two million dollars in cash!
It's Clearance $ale Week on.....
(echo) And now, here's the star of our show, GREG PALMER!(wild cheers and applause as the doors open and I run to my lectern)Greg: Thank you, Burton. Good to have you back. (to the audience) And it's good to have you back, too, for our Clearance $ale week on $ale of the Century. Every night, we've been having three new players, and one player each night will be coming back on Friday to face off against the Fame Game board for the Lot. We're wrapping up this season in style, and here to help us with that is Stacey Wren! (Stacey walks out to cheers and applause) Hiya, Stacey. Stacey: G'day, Greg. The action's really heating up, isn't it?Greg: It sure is. Now, there's something important I need to talk to you about after the show. Stacey: What's that?Greg: You'll find out. For now, who are our three players for tonight? (As Stacey introduces the contestants, models of the opposite gender escort them to their seats)Stacey: Well, first we have a person from Riverside, New Jersey. Here's Marc Enyedy! Next, he's an aviation management student from Singapore. Please welcome William Low. And finally, he's a university student, majoring in English, and a board game cafe clerk. From Bangkok, Thailand, here's Patseen Punsiri.(cheers and applause) Greg: OK, then. Let's meet our players, starting with Patseen. So, you're a clerk at a board game cafe. Is that just a cafe where you play a lot of board games?

Post by patpun2016 on Aug 29, 2018 21:21:34 GMT -5
Exactly, the café has over 300 games to choose from, and also more for sale. Well, it's still a 'café', so foods and coffee are also offered, but most of the time, you will see people laughing, playing board games and flipping tables.

Table flipping! Oh yes, the universal sign of bad sportsmanship. Now, what else keeps you busy, aside from college and work?

Flipping tables. Oh, I mean, aside from work and college, I also started trying to lose my weight. You know, I'm not feeling cool about myself right now.

Well, flipping tables ought to give you a good workout, I'd think. And Patseen, you're not alone. Paul Lynde and Rod Roddy struggled for years with their weight. I'm not so svelte myself. Don't worry, Patseen. It gets better. Good luck to you tonight.
William Low, from Singapore. You're an aviation management student. What exactly are you studying?

Basically what it says on the tin. It is basically about planes and airports and stuff. It’s quite tough.

So, you're not flying them, you're just figuring out how to pay for them?

Well, we have simulators at school. So far, I've learnt about Aircraft Systems, Air Traffic Management. Somewhere along the lines.

Fair enough. Maybe if you win the Lot, you can buy your own airplane. Good luck to you.
Finally, Marc Enyedy from Riverside, New Jersey. You were at our New York City tryouts, WNBC territory. Tell us a bit more about yourself.

I don't think I'll be able to own my own aeroplane. I have a driver's license, not a pilot's license. I'm probably focused on being a duty manager at an airport.

Well! Pardonnez moi. He doesn't have a pilot's license. Excuse me, William.
Marc, please proceed.

Well, I’m 36, from South Jersey, and I work part-time at a local supermarket. When I’m not bagging groceries or gathering shopping carts, I’m playing the various trivia apps on my phone. Sometimes I win more money in one night than I make at work all week.

Ah, a trivia app junkie. I ought to try some of those myself. You ought to be prepared, then. How easy is it to sign up and get money? And do they require a lot of data, because I've got a Dragon Ball Z game that just eats it up.
