If LEAF doesn't give me an answer by 11:00 p.m. tomorrow, then it's an automatic wrong answer.

Bill Cullen did in fact host "Blankety Blanks"....In fact, all of these games were hosted by Bill Cullen and that means that MATT and CHRIS gets $100. Take a look at the board: Pick one of these planets and tell me, TRUE or FALSE, do they have a moon? MATT, you're up first.

MARS has TWO moons (and not to sound smarty-pants, their names are PHOBOS and DEIMOS). Let me guess, that's not going to earn me bonus points.

No, it's not going to give you bonus money, but it does give you $100 the same as MATT. In fact, all three of those planets do have moons, so all of them were TRUE. Take a look at the board again: Pick one of these strange sounding terms and tell me, if they are used in COOKING, SEWING or PAINTING? MATT, once again, you are up first.

SCUMBLE is a glaze-painting technique. So, you'd hear that in PAINTING.

You're right too as well, CHRIS and once again, MATT and CHRIS gets $100. Involving SERGING, that is a term used in sewing. Take a look again at the board: Everyone, take a listen to this very popular song: (THE SONG "UP WHERE WE BELONG") That was “UP WHERE WE BELONG“, now answer the following questions about it? MATT, you are up first.

That is correct, CHRIS. LEAF? (LEAF: "I HAVE NO IDEA") The lady singer was Jennifer Warnes and that means that MATT and CHRIS gets another $100. Take a look at the board again: Pick one and tell me, YES or NO, did these historic events happen during the term in office of Lyndon B. Johnson? MATT, you are up again.

You are right, CHRIS....LEAF, what about the Cuban Missle Crisis? (LEAF: YES) No, I'm sorry, that's wrong and that means CHRIS is the only one to get it right and gets $200. Involving MAN ON THE MOON, that was Richard Nixon and the CUBAN MISSILE CRISIS was John Kennedy. (DING DING) That sound means that the second round is over and CHRIS is in the lead with $1,425, MATT is in second place with $975 and LEAF has $625. When we come back, it's the COUNTDOWN ROUND to see which one will have a chance at that car and $10,000. Stay tuned!!!!!

(BIG BAND MUSIC PLAYS AND ENDS) Hello and welcome back to SPLIT SECOND. We're now at the COUNTDOWN ROUND and this will determine which one of our contestants will be our champ and to go on to play for that beautiful car and $10,000. We play just the same as the last couple of rounds with one big difference. If you are the first person to buzz in and give me a correct answer, then you have a chance to answer the remaining questions and that's important, because each of you will be a given a number of questions you need to answer and each time you are correct, we'll take away one from your total. The first person who counts down to zero first wins an extra $500 and will be our champ. Now, here's how we determine the number for each of you....CHRIS, since you are in first place after the second round, you only need to answer three questions; MATT, since you are in second place, then you only need to answer four questions and LEAF, since you are in third place, you have to answer five questions. Also, I want to remind all of you that to give me your answers one at a time, and wait for me to say correct or incorrect to them. I wish you all the best, and here comes the first question. Pick one of these baseball fields and tell me the name of the team that uses it as their home turf? MATT, you are up first.
