[APPLAUSE]And we'll move David's freeze bar as he's now two cards away from a tie ballgame. Before I read the next question, we'll pause for a break. We'll continue with round 2 of Card Sharks right after we do a little business for North America. Stick around, folks... we'll be right back. *fade to promo* [CLOSING CUE, CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]George Gray: Closed Captioning sponsored today by the following--================================================================================= *back to studio* [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Welcome back to Card Sharks... celebrating its 40th anniversary. We've just started round 2 and here's what the board looks like..... Our challenger David is just two cards away from a tie match while our champ Lenny hasn't touched his base card just yet. Let's continue with our second round with question number 2. *grabs card* David... this next question is for you and involves 10 former inmates. Lady and gents, please come on over to the Contestants' Row area. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE, ALL INMATES WALK INTO THE AREA]OK... David... we've asked the 10 former inmates to this question-- When you watch police TV shows, do you root for the robbers instead of the cops? How many of them say they do root for the robbers?

I think not many would since they have been in prison and know how bad it is. I will say 4.

[DING]Dave say 4 of the former inmates say they root for the robbers. Higher or lower, Lenny?

I think rooting for the cops would be a bit cliche. I'm going to say it's higher.

[DING]I think it's somewhere in the middle. Let's find out if you at home are right. David says 4 and Lenny says it's higher... The actual number of former inmates say they root for the robbers on police TV shows is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]5 of them... just missed it by one. The champion will now play his cards in round 2... starting with... ...a 4.

[AUDIENCE GROANS, APPLAUSE]I don't blame you, Lenny. David still has a one card advantage. Third question coming right up. *grabs card* Lenny... we've asked 100 university employees-- How many think that students are smarter than their professors? How many of them say that students are smarter than their professors?
Post by redrangerdude on Jul 12, 2018 23:50:39 GMT -5
To be honest, this sounds like a tough question. All students are different. It has to be somewhere in between, like 55.

[DING]55 out of 100 say that students are smarter than their professors. What do you think, Dave... higher or lower?

I don't think many employees would think that. So I will say lower.

[DING]Do you guys think that students are smarter than the professors? Let's find out, shall we? Lenny says 55 and David says it's lower... The actual number of university employees say that students are smarter than their professors is-- [CLASS BELL RINGS, CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]55! Bull's eye!!!! And Lenny... since you've got that answer exactly, here are your five $100 bills. [DINGS, DING-DING-DING, CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]100... 200... 300... 400... 5... 6... 7... 8... 9... $1,000! You have a 10 as your new base card, Lenny. Do you want to play on your 10 or change it?

Change it please

Post by tmann3x on Jul 20, 2018 10:27:35 GMT -5
And we'll move the freeze bar for Lenny. Both players need two cards to win this round. *grabs card* Fourth and final question mean it's time to play... Audience: SUDDEN DEATH![CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Tony: That's right folks... it's Sudden Death time. Someone must win this round on the next play of the cards. Control of the board is very important. David, we've asked 100 married men-- If you knew what you were getting into when you married your wife, would you still have married her?How many of them say yes?
Post by gameboy2000 on Jul 20, 2018 12:11:09 GMT -5
That can depend on the situation, but I think that will be a high number. I say 80.

Post by tmann3x on Jul 20, 2018 13:19:05 GMT -5
[DING]80 out of 100 say would still have married her. What do you think, Lenny... higher or lower?
Post by redrangerdude on Jul 20, 2018 14:36:17 GMT -5
I would have to say it's lower because some men could rush into this marriage without having any idea about what's expected.
Post by tmann3x on Jul 22, 2018 14:31:04 GMT -5
[DING]This all important answer will determine control of the cards. David says 80 while Lenny says it's lower... The actual number of married men say that they would still have married her is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]86! Not lower... it is higher. Dave, it's Sudden Death time! You have a 10 and need two cards for a tie game. Lenny has a 7 and needs two for the championship. You can change your 10 since you've won Sudden Death. If you pass it to Lenny, he must play on his 7. If he makes one mistake, we'll be playing a one-question Sudden Death match. What's your decision... play or pass?

Pass

Post by tmann3x on Jul 22, 2018 14:42:21 GMT -5
Lenny, it's all up to you. With that 7, you must call both cards right. Make one mistake, and we'll go into a tie breaking Sudden Death match. Call it higher or lower.
