Here's some artwork:
Now a two player format instead of three player.
Buzz codes will determine who gets to answer the question.
Three of the four answers match the given category, in this case "Fitting the Bill".
To earn one check mark, the player who buzzes in first must identify the one answer that does not match with the other three, in this case "Obama" would be the correct answer, as the other three last names are all famous (or infamous) people named Bill.
If the player who answers is incorrect, then their opponent automatically earns one check mark.
The first to earn 3 check marks then gets to go to the board to try to get 3 on a Match...
The big board in all her glory.
Players will get a maximum of 7 picks from the board:
In this example, the player failed to match three like symbols. One of each appears in each column but one box in one column has a "NO MATCH" card.
If a player makes a match, they win one board, if not, their opponent wins the board.
Cash awards from $250 up to $500 are hidden behind the 9 potential winning boxes on each board.
If a player makes a match, they win 1 board plus the cash award attached to the box that gave the player a match.
If a player fails to make a match, their opponent wins 1 board and a flat $250, as that's the lowest cash award on the board.
If a player makes an instant match, meaning a match on just three picks, they will win double the cash award attached to the box that gave them the match.
The first player to win 3 boards wins the match, and goes to the winner's board to earn an additional prize ranging from $1,000 all the way up to $2,000.
This makes $5,000 the maximum possible amount to be won during one front game.
The winner of the second board of the day gets to play a mini-bonus game, the Jackpot Match.
The Jackpot starts at $2,500 and increases by $500 per day until won.
As with all other boards, the player will have a maximum of 7 picks to specifically match the 3 "Jackpot" cards hidden on the board, one Jackpot card appears in each column.
All 3 columns will have a minimum of one "Sorry" card and a maximum of two.
Hidden behind the other five boxes are cash amounts of $100, $150, $200, $250 and $300.
Should a player fail to match all 3 Jackpot cards in 7 picks or less, the player still wins any consolation cash revealed on the Jackpot Match board.
The winner of the match (the first to win 3 boards during the main game) will then play the Bonus Bucks bonus board for a chance at up to $50,000 in cash plus a new car.
The pot during Bonus Bucks starts at $22,250 and is reduced by every pick made from the board. The player determines by how much the pot goes down.
If a player makes a match in 7 picks or less, they will win all money remaining in the Bonus Bucks pot.
If a player makes a match in just 4 picks, they will win double the value of the Bonus Bucks pot.
If a player makes an instant match in just 3 picks, they will win all the money in the Bonus Bucks pot, plus a $30,000 added bonus and a new automobile.
I'm hoping to start the first episode of this new season soon.
The main game boards will still feature the same symbols used before and used during the 1973-74 season, card suits, monsters, movie stars, hats, Presidents, fruit, instruments, animals and of course the outer space symbols shown in the sample board above.
Mother said not to play with matches, but these matches are safe and very fun!
More to come...
