(fade in with applause)
Rich Fields: "Today, these three players are after big bucks and one of them will have a chance to drive home in this new car...
...worth more than $38,000!
(played by Javan Hamilton)
From Television City in Hollywood, this is...
And now, here's your host...Glen Brown!"
(applause continues as I walk onstage emerging from behind the big board)
Thank you Rich, thank you ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the all-new Press Your Luck! If you were a fan of this show from the 1980s, I think you will be a fan of this one as well. We have a lot of elements from that original version, but we have also made changes here and there to hopefully make it even more exciting, including a bonus round for our champion today where he might drive off in that beautiful new car along with as much as $10,000 in bonus round cash!
One thing hasn't changed though...
...you still need to avoid those Whammies!! Let's not waste time with explanations, though -- I'll explain as we go along -- right now, let's load our big board with some spins, please.
(bling)
Our Spins board is the only board that doesn't contain Whammies -- only the values from 4 to 12 with a random sample displayed with each spin. As you can see on this board, none of the "12" values are there, but rest assured, they are in play.
Matt, we are going to start with you. Talk to that board, tell it what you want and make sure you end it with STOP! (#) where # is a value from 1 to 10, inclusive. Whatever number you indicate is how many times the board will spin and shuffle the values before stopping and randomly choosing one of the 18 squares to light up. Whatever value it stops on is the number of spins you'll have for our first round.
If you're ready Matt, let's play the all-new Press Your Luck!

And, stop on... (ding)
...4 spins! The square illuminated with the lime-green border is the active square.
Well, that's the bad news Matt, but the good news is there's no place to go but up from here! Contestants can press their luck if they want to, give back these spins and try again! Two cracks at it is the most you get on the spin boards though, so whatever you get next will be the spin total for Round 1, but there's nothing less than 4, so give that thing another go, Matt!

One quick flip of the board and... (ding)
...stop on 11 spins!! Well done, you almost spanned least to most in those two chances! Let's lock those spins in for you...
(ding)
...and before we proceed, let's find out a little about our first contestant, Matt Ringgenberg.

Alright, well it's a pleasure to have you with us, Matt. Stand by for a moment as we turn now to Bryan and ask him to give the board a whirl or two or ten or anywhere in-between.

...7 spins for Bryan, so let's lock that in for you.

Bryan, before we move on, can you tell us something about yourself, please.

Well, the NASCAR season is underway, so you must be happy about that and the 2018 football season starts a little more than 4 months from now, but that'll be here soon enough. That's my favorite time of the year -- the leaves start changing into beautiful colors and there's lots of pigskin to watch on the tube! It's great to have you in our game, Bryan!
We turn now to our third contestant, Antonio. If you would please sir, put that board a-spinnin' and let's see what you come up with!

Stop on 5 spins. Well, unlike Matt and Bryan, this isn't completely a no-brainer, Antonio. You are welcome to give these spins up, press your luck and hope for a bigger number, but take note, you could end up with just 4! You can keep them or give it another go, what do you think?

The board spins six times and... (ding)
...can you believe that! Well, that's okay Antonio, you might find enough cash on the board to buy yourself some extra spins -- I'll explain that shortly. For now though, we have to lock these in.
(ding)
It's Matt with 11 spins, Bryan with 7 and up first, Antonio will take his 4 spins into our first round known as the Dice Round where the player with the highest dice score picks up a bonus of $2,500!
We'll do that right after we do this! (applause and fade out)

(fade in with applause and the theme initially loud, but slowly fading out) Welcome back everyone to the All-New Press Your Luck! Now that our three contestants have some spins on their scoreboard, it's time to put some bucks and some dice up there as well! First off though, let's load our big board for Round 1 - the Dice Round! (bling)
Just like with our spins board, each spin in Round 1 will produce a random amount of dice along with other spaces, such as dollar amounts, special squares that I'll explain as we go along and of course, those pesky Whammies. For example, in this initial random load that we see here, there are no sixes up there, but rest assured, they are in play and could appear at any time.
The idea in Round 1 is to form the best set of scoring dice as possible, with payouts as follows:
(ding)
As you can see, we payout for anything from one pair, which is worth $150 all the way up to five of a kind, which is worth $2,500. On top of that, whichever of our three contestants ends up with the best dice in the round gets a bonus of $2,500 meaning that, for example, if five 4s was the best dice for this round, that player would get $5,000 for that ($2,500 for the five of a kind and $2,500 for having the best dice). Players also earn $50 for every die placed on their scoreboard.
The Whammies could play a big part in this round, because not only do they wipe out your cash, they also wipe out your dice, too! This means that the $2,500 bonus could be awarded even if the person doesn't have one of the hands listed here. For example, if all three players had Whammies, with two of them having no dice in play at all and the third player drawing a single 3 with his last spin, he'd win no money for not having any payout hands, but would still win the $2,500 bonus since he'd have the lone die in play. If nobody has any dice in play at the end of Round 1, then no bonus money is awarded.
Our contestants can purchase additional spins for $250 each and discards for $500 each. Discards are used to eliminate dice from your scoreboard because once you land on it, it's on your board, even if you don't want it, until you eliminate it through some form of discard, either by purchasing one or by finding various spots on the board that will give you a free discard. More on all of this as we proceed through the round.
Antonio, you are first up with your 4 spins. Good luck, sir! No whammies now -- big bucks or big dice is what you're looking for! Give it a whirl and let's see what you get!

My apologies Antonio -- I saw it written somewhere else on here as Grey -- it will be fixed with the graphics from here on.
Don't forget to always give a STOP # when you say stop, so which number would you like?

Stop on... (ding)
...whoa, almost a Whammy there, but you missed it luckily. You start your dice score with a 5. A couple of other squares to note here -- landing on Discard gives you a free chance to remove one of the dice if you so want to. If you have open slots available on your scoreboard as you do currently, you can save the discard and use it anytime up until all 5 slots are filled. At that point, if not used, the Discard would be replaced with whatever die you landed on next.
As for the 1 with the arrows, that's move one space either way. There are similar spaces with the numbers 2 and 3, meaning to move that many spaces one way or the other. In this case, had you landed on it, you could have chosen either the 3 or the Discard as your selection.
(ding)
Three earned spins remaining Antonio -- press your luck or pass? If you're pressing, go ahead and spin that board!

Two quick flashes and stop on... (ding)
...another 5! Excellent, so you now have dice that would payout $150 for that pair of fives, plus for the moment at least, it is the best dice score which would give you that $2,500 bonus if that holds up.
Once again, you just avoided the Whammy, except this time, that guy with the tongue sticking out is actually a Double Whammy and would have cost you 2 Whammies instead of 1. Also, we see on this board some of the dollar value spaces which adds that amount to your dollar total if you land on them, those spaces range from $100 up to $2,500.
The other square to note on this board is that 4 by itself. Landing on that may sometimes help you and sometimes hurt you. The 4 represents 4 earned spins, meaning your earned spins total gets set to 4 regardless of what it currently is. In your case at the moment Antonio, that would be a good thing, you'd go back up to having 4 spins like you started with. It could be a very costly stop though for a player with a lot more than 4 spins.
(ding)
Press or pass, Antonio?

Stop on a 4. Well, not much help right now, but it might help later in the round. Here we see another square for the first time -- the Swap square (red with white arrows). If you land on this, it must be used immediately. You use it to swap one of your dice with one of your opponents dice. It's only valid if one of your opponents actually has dice on his scoreboard, otherwise, it's worthless.
(ding)
One spin to go Antonio and ideally, you want some big bucks if you press this time because then you could purchase yourself some additional spins and maybe get that 5 you wanted. What shall it be -- press or pass?

Five flashes of the board and... (ding)
...stop on a 3. Well, again no help there for now, but you've got that pair of fives and if that holds as the best dice at the end of the round, you'd go into Round 2 with almost $3,000 on your scoreboard.
(ding)
Earned spins cost $250 in this round, so I'm afraid that's the end of your turn for now, Antonio. Stand by please and let's see what Bryan can do with his 7 spins.
Press or pass, Bryan?

Stop on a 6, so good start there -- if you can find another one of those, you take over the lead in terms of best dice.
