Marc says 6 Senators are in the bar. Is that right? (ding; audience applause)Yes. Always 2 U.S. Senators from each state -- no matter how big or small it is. Well, Marc, a Crag makes you a millionaire. Frank, hex if you'd like. Away we go. (rolling sfx)Is this the million dollar roll -- or do we play another round in the mad dash? (ding)Stop on a 1. (ding)Stop on a 3. (ding)And stop on a 5. Now -- that's an odd straight for 20 points. You may stop and take 20 points or reroll. If you end the round here -- or reroll and don't get a Crag -- we'll have as many as two rounds left in the tournament. Right now, you're leading 61 to 60, Marc.

After Round 3: marc412 grapebuy789Taking the points. Marc's now a straight or better away from winning it all. Frank still needs a Crag. Round 4 of 5 starts with this question. Ordinal number question: In the long running "Doctor Who" franchise, was Peter Davison The First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth or Sixth Doctor? 96 marc412 67 grapebuy789 53 randomizer.org (Frank buzzes in)Frank?

Was Peter Davison The Fifth Doctor? (ding; audience applause)Yes indeedy. Well, Frank, if you roll a Crag in this round, you win $1,000,000 and the tournament. Anything short of a Crag means the tournament comes down to one question. Marc, hex if you like... (rolling sfx)..because here go the dice for Frank now. (ding)Stop on a 6. (ding)Stop on a 5. (ding)And stop on another 5. Frank, this roll is worth 16 points if you end the round here -- and force the tournament to boil down to one question.

To be honest Doug, I thought my dreams of winning the ToC were over. Marc played very well and I commend you sir for your efforts. In regards to winning a million dollars, I feel like a million bucks!

Thanks, Frank. You did too. It’s a game of luck and nerve, and you had both on that last roll.

Well you both displayed a broad range of knowledge to get here. You both put nerve and luck to the test. (audience cheers)And our adding machine added big bonuses to the podia. Yes -- Marc, you receive a quarter of a million dollars as our tournament runner-up. Frank, to the victor go the spoils -- one million dollars. (audience cheers)And believe it or not -- *both* players can roughly double there winnings. Marc could win another 250 grand. Frank could walk out of here with another million dollar check. Find out what happens -- when you come back. (WGYN theme plays; audience applauds)

(audience cheers)Welcome back to Crag: The Tournament of Champions. By the way, on our next show, Crag: The Numbers Game resumes -- where Antonio Gray has been patiently waiting to build on one match win and cash winnings of $9000. (clip rolls on monitor) Nappa: What? 9000? There's no way that can be right. (audience laughs and applauds)It is right, Nappa. Give it a rest. Now, normally when I'm in the players' area, I give one of them ten crisp new $100 for rolling the first Crag of the match. But, Frank, you ended up rolling the final Crag of the tournament. That roll put you over $5000. That can be right. And this check is now rightfully yours. (audience cheers)One -- million -- dollars. (Doug hands check to Frank) I know you congratulated Marc on a well played tournament -- as do the rest of us. Frank, anything you'd like to say before we give Marc a chance to win more money?

I just want to wish Marc good luck in the hopes of winning more cash. Also, drinks are on me after the show. Even Skippy Trebek gets to come!

(scattered laughter from the crowd) Well -- Skippy doesn't adjudicate this show. But please spend that money wisely and well. Stand by -- because you could get another check for another million. Marc, are you ready to play for up to another $250,000 in cash money?

Well, you're going to be playing a game that we normally play with the audience. To the best of my knowledge, we haven't played this game since we went into syndication. And what a time to bring this game out -- because right off the bat, Marc, we are giving you... (ding) (audience cheers)...$50,000. Now, by the end of this game, you might be hanging on to this money -- you might have to give this back. At stake, though, is a chance to win another $200,000. So with lucky rolls, you could win another $250,000 in total. Appropriately, we call this game Cash Money. Behind the dice faces 1 through 4, we've accordingly hidden the letters that spell out the word "CASH". So if you rolled a 1, you uncover the C. Roll a 2, you uncover the A and so on. Uncover all four letter in "CASH" -- and you win $200,000 in cash. (scattered cheers) To help you, any roll of 5 or 6 is wild. That gives you the power to collect any letter you haven't uncovered already. However, if you fail to uncover a letter because the corresponding number has been rolled or played already, you lose the $50,000. The next bad roll ends the game automatically. (rolling sfx)One more thing. You'll be playing with one of the Crag dice -- the one that's already rolling right now. Do you have any questions?

(obvious edit) Good question, Marc. Last time we played this many *many* moons ago, we spotted the player just $500 with the potential of winning up to $10,500 -- including that free $500 at the start. On this night of champions, we're going to make this executive decision. We'll let you stop and keep the $50,000 *plus* $10,000 for each revealed letter after a successful roll. If you lose the $50,000, then you'll be committed to keep playing until you win or lose. (scattered cheers) Any other questions?
(If no further questions, we'll hold you to that stopper letter of F.)

(rolling sfx)(scattered cheers) Okay, best of luck. Let's get you another big payoff. (ding) (scattered cheers) Stop on a 3. That gets you an S... (ding)...which we've styled as a dollar sign. Marc, would you like to stop and keep $60,000 -- or roll again? (audience shouts suggestions)

(rolling sfx)(scattered cheers) All right. A 5 or 6 could help. (ding) (scattered cheers) Stop on a 2. That helps. (ding)You get an A for that effort. Halfway home to a total payoff of $250,000. Want to stop and take $70,000 -- or keep on keepin' on? (audience shouts suggestions)

(rolling sfx)(scattered cheers) Keep on rollin', Marc says. We don't want a 2 or a 3. (ding) (scattered cheers) We get a 5 -- first wild number. Marc, please think this over carefully. Do you want to call this roll a 1 to take the C or a 4 to take the H? (audience shouts suggestions) Remember, the letter and number you leave behind you'd either have to roll naturally or count on a 6 or another 5 to win it all.

(ding) (audience cheers) The 1 it is for a C. And just clarifying -- are you willing to risk $50,000 to go for it all? (audience shouts suggestions) No matter what happens, you're assured of $30,000 -- that's $10,000 for each letter you've turned over.

All right, we'll give you up to three chances to win $1,000,000. (rolling sfx)This time, you'll roll all three dice up here. We'll give you a maximum of three rolls of the dice as opposed to two. Roll a Crag, win another $1,000,000. (audience cheers)But if you don't roll a Crag, you'll receive $500,000 -- which is a nice consolation prize. So, when you're ready to stop those dice, hit that buzzer three time.
