Show me a split decision! clang!(bells jangling) You got it, so you're going to play. David, think up some answers with your family. Now James, what's another phrase that has the word "split" in it?

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention this being the game show fan I am! Split Second!

Oh yeah, I love that answer! I hope it's up there, especially for fans of game shows everywhere. Is one of those answers split second? clang!Yes, it's the Number 1 answer! Matt, let's have another.

Split Screen

Yes, I like that answer a lot. Let's see a split screen! clang! There it is! And now Kevin, you're now one answer away from taking the round, and you have no strikes on you. So what do you think Number 5 is?

All right, all those answers had split at the beginning so I'll mix it up a bit: Banana split.

OK, let's see if you get the bank. Of course, you will if it's up there. Show me a banana split! clang!(bells jangling) And our champs jump in front $154 to $84, but we have to play another round. So James and Nels, let's do another face-off! (1988 FF Face-Off Cue, harmonica variant) And now, the dollar values have been doubled, and the top four answers are on the board. We asked 100 people: Name a fruit or vegetable that is red.

Show me apple! clang!(bells jangling) The Number 1 answer, and the Greeks will play for the chance to possibly win. Nels, we may get back to you again, so think up some answers with your family. Now Matt, can you think of another fruit or vegetable that is red?

That's a great answer, and I'll bet that it's Number 2. Let me see a tomato! clang!Got it! Kevin, how about another?

Cherries!

I like that answer too. Let's see where it is on the board. How about some cherries? clang!Number 4! So all that's left is the Number 3 answer, and James, if you can give it to me, you'll win the game for the third time in a row. Also, you'll have three chances to do just that.

Strawberries

Post by Bill Skinner on Mar 30, 2018 11:31:07 GMT -5
This is it: If strawberries are there, you win the game and play Fast Money. If not, it's just your first strike. Show me strawberries! clang!(bells jangling) (1988 FF Win Cue) The Greeks win again! Well Snesruds, sorry you didn't get too many chances to play, but you do get $84 and our thanks for playing, and hopefully you'll come back and see us again. (shakes Snesruds' hands, then walks to front of stage to invite Greeks for Fast Money) (1988 FF Theme) Who will be my two players for Fast Money? When we come back, we'll see if the Greeks can add another 10 grand to their winnings. Back after this.

We're back with the Greeks, who will be playing their third Fast Money round in as many shows. James, we have Matt offstage, where he can't see or hear your answers. You already know the deal, but for those who don't, here's what will happen now: I'm going to ask James five questions via PM, and then he will PM me back his answers. And if he and Matt together get 200 or more points, they will win $10,000! So now that we're all set, let's have 24 hours on the clock, please.
dong!
Now James, here are the five questions that you must answer via PM:
1. Name a reason you may have to go to the hospital. 2. ...a game that's played on a table. 3. ...a brand of sneaker. 4. ...any classical composer. 5. ...a man's name that starts with the letter C.

(bells jangling) Turn around. Time to find out how well you did. My first question was, name a reason you may have to go to the hospital. You said... blip!...surgery, and our survey said... dong!...21; good start for you. Next, I asked for a game that's played on a table. You said... blip!...pool, which makes a lot of sense, because they make pool tables, you know. The survey said... dong!...41. Up to 62 already. Then we wanted a brand of sneaker. You said... blip!...Nike; our survey said... dong!...48, and with that, you go over 100! Could we have another solo Fast Money win on the horizon? We still have two more questions to go. Now we asked for any classical composer. You said... blip!...Beethoven, quite possibly the greatest one of all time. Our survey said... dong!...52! And now you're 38 points away from 200 with this last question, where we wanted a man's name that starts with the letter C. You said... blip!...Charles. If 38 people said it, you win that $10,000 again. What did our survey say? dong!(bells jangling) (1988 FF Win Cue) 57, and you win 10 grand! Congratulations for being just the second family to win Fast Money with just one player. But a thought just occurred to me; we never gave Matt a chance to play, so I have an idea: First, cover up those answers, and I'm asking all of you to keep quiet because we don't want Matt to know what just happened here. Now let's bring him out. (feigns disappointment) Well, well, well, James just played the worst round in the history of this show. He only got you six points, so you need 194 to win. (laughter) Since the questions we asked the first time around were very tough, here's what I'm going to do: I will ask you five new questions, and do so one at a time; you will give me what you believe is the most popular answer. Now if you're ready, look straight ahead, and let's put 24 hours on the clock, please. dong! The clock will start after I finish reading the first question; good luck. What was your nickname in high school?
