A lot of changes coming up for this episode of daytime Wheel. Here they are:
-Every show will now have a theme with the prizes tying into that particular theme. -The same wheel template is now used for the entire game. -Top dollar values are now $750 for Round 1, $1,000 for Round 2, $1,250 for Round 3 and $1,500 afterward. -Bonus categories and puzzle questions are now worth $1,000. -Double Play is retired. -The $5,000 Wedge is moved to Round 2. It is removed from the wheel if unclaimed by the end of its featured round. -Round 3 is now the Jackpot Round. The Jackpot's base value is $2,500. -Prizes are no longer added to the wheel after Round 3. -The second Bankrupt is now removed if a round begins as a Speed-Up. -Any bad Final Spins I make will be "edited out".
In keeping with the tradition the actual show has done all this time, I will still use returning champions.
I need three players, including our returning champion Matt, to check in. Who's got game?

Audience: WHEEL!...OF!...FORTUNE! *1994 Changing Keys, 1996 edit* Jim: From Net Game Central, America's most popular game show: Wheeeeeeel of Fortune! And now, your host, Kevin Kolsen, and your hostess, Vanna White! Me: Hello, gang! Great to be back again! That's right, we're coming at you with another great show from the past here on Wheel of Fortune. This time, we're going to show you what the daytime version would have been like in 1997. We've got all the changes ready to go so let's jump right into it. We'll meet our players: Starting in the red spot, we have David from Virginia. How are things going for you, David?

Great to hear. Hope you do well on this show as well. Next, we'll say hi to our returning champ Matt Riggenberg. He cleaned house yesterday, winning $27,865 in one day of work.
*cheers and applause*
Me: Now, Matt, most of what you won were prizes. What do you think was your favorite thing you won in '96?

And I hope you have a great time on that. My sister went there last year, and I believe her when she says it's beautiful there. Lastly, we have a new face on our show. His name is Joseph Kristoff. Joseph, tell all of America about yourself, please.

All right, Kevin. I am from Montgomery County in Maryland, and I work as a legal courier for a major corporation in Washington, D.C. A bit boring at times, but it undoubtedly pays the bills.

Thank you. That will be me in about six weeks; my off season definitely compares to that. Best of luck to the three of you, we play this game for cash. We're also giving one of you the chance to win this prize on the wheel. Jim: It's a gift certificate to American Tourister! For our Great American Cities week, American Tourister luggage has you covered. All our bags are stylish, durable and they're built to last for the years to come. Pack more fun with American Tourister: $1,000! I want to point out a few changes to this wheel. There are some jumbled dollar figures, but the Free Spin is still there and Surprise is still there. Top dollar for this round is now $750. We can finally compete with nighttime! *laughter* Get ready, contestants, here is our first puzzle. *puzzle reveal chimes* And a big one this is. The category is Where Are We? $1,000 to whoever can answer that after you solve the puzzle. David, have at it.
