This is it! The premiere!
I will need two celebrities and two contestants for this. The contestants will be then randomly assigned a celebrity. Make sure you have familiarized yourself with the rules in the "Coming Soon" board!
Note that the celebrities will remain for two consecutive episodes (for the time being), with the champion of this episode trading partners for episode two.
Because of the nature of this game, be prepared to receive a lot of private messages!
CONTESTANTS: Lenny Ranger Nels Snesrud
CELEBRITIES: Kevin Kolsen (Wheel of Fortune: Daytime Seasons; Password) Steven Solsak (Wheel of Fortune; Hangman)

All right! Welcome, everyone!
Stand by, Kevin and Steven, and the moment Lenny and Nels complete their associations, that's when we'll get this game rolling…
(NOTE: So everyone knows how it works on the contestants' side of things, the champion gets a selection of which of two packets of key words to receive—A or B. If there is no returning champion, the first person to apply (in this case, Lenny) gets to choose. They will each be PMed their own list. Note that in this first round, associations do not necessarily have to be one word.)

This is Snap Judgment , episode 101A, VTR 2–4–18, air date to be announced.
(an unused theme from Body Language) Backstage at Television City in Hollywood, our contestants today are hurrying to complete their associations to the key words we've given them. Waiting to meet them are our guest stars, Kevin Kolsen and Steven Solsak, and the game they're on their mark to play is…SNAP (*snap!*) JUDGMENT!And here's your host, Joseph Kristoff!
(audience cheers and applause)Hoo wow. Boy oh boy, thank you very much, everyone. It has been what, years since I hosted something? And now I have a chance in a game I hope you will all enjoy, Snap Judgment. With me now are today's two celebrities, starting with the host of Wheel of Fortune: Daytime Seasons, Kevin Kolsen! (applause) So far you're up to 1995, Kevin, although the daytime series ended in 1991…explain what you're hoping to do with the years afterward. Is this a sort of what-could-have-been thing?

That's exactly what it is. I'll begin with that I've been doing for 1995 if you want a little slice. It's not all that different from the time the daytime version was cancelled in 1991, save for adding the Surprise wedge. Since the budgets on both versions are different, you'll see the $5,000 wedge but the way they had it on the $1,000 instead: two single-spaced Bankrupts sandwiching $5,000. As I get on there in years, I'll be adding elements the nighttime version had but more appropriate for daytime. In other words, the Jackpot round, Toss-Ups, Prize Puzzles, and the like will be added as the years go.

Well, that sounds very interesting. I’m intrigued as to what a 2018 daytime wheel might look like. I’ll be sure to keep on watching. And Steven Solsak—I understand you have your own Wheel going on right now…any other games you have in the works?

Well, good luck to you with whatever endeavors you have planned. Now that we have that out of the way, it is time for you to meet your partners! Come on out, you two! (applause, rhythm cue as the contestants join their partners) Let’s start with Lenny Ranger first of all. Lenny, please tell us a little bit about yourself.

Washington! Well, not far from where I live, I hope. I'm a Marylander through and through myself. Only a few more months of the high school grind, too—wishing you the best there. And Nels Snesrud, tell us a little bit about yourself, please.

Minneapolis, hm? Everyone is probably still cleaning up from the Super Bowl. As for bowling, I did it a few times and got no better than 78. It can really cramp up your muscles if you don't do it right, and I should know!
All right. Now that we're all settled in, it's time to play our game. Before the show, Lenny and Nels each received their own list of five key words and were asked to come up with an association for each of them. We have the lists right here. Contestants, your work for round one is done; now it's up to the celebrities to identify those associations.
Because we have no returning champion, Lenny, as the first contestant to sign up, your team has earned the right to go first. Steven, I'm going to give you one of Lenny's key words and if you can come up with the association on the first guess, Lenny will score $200. Note that associations do not necessarily have to be one word. The first key word is:
DRAW

Artist? Judges? … … … (ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding!) (applause!)Okay! They're saying it's all right. We were looking for art, but the judges did say you were close enough, so $200 to Lenny! (ding!)All right, Kevin, here comes Nels' first key word, for $200: FAMILY

Relative.

Post by joeygatorman on Feb 5, 2018 19:39:16 GMT -5
No, not relative.
You’re entitled to a second guess, Kevin, this time worth $100. You will receive help in the form of the first letter of the correct answer. Kevin, the first letter is M.

Mother.

Oooh, no, sorry—though if you had said mother first, chances are you would’ve come up with member the second time. Better luck next word, Nels.
The score remains $200 to nothing, and Steven, it’s back to you with Lenny’s second key word:
CHOCOLATE

Color? No. Looking for an association with the key word of chocolate, and the first letter to the correct answer is H. Your guess for $100, Steven?
