James Greek returns for his 4th game with a total of $5,400. I will need him to check in and I need an opponent for him. As usual, we will have two games this episode. I will ask for a second contestant when the time comes. Who'd like to take on James?
(Note: The last two people to play were Nels Snesrud and Mark Liotta. I ask that you both sit this episode out before trying again.)

Hey you learn something every day folks. The more you know. *laughter* Good luck to you Kevin and good luck to both players. You both know how this game works. Let's get right into it and see what the categories are for this first game of Tic Tac Dough. They are the following: We have For The Kids, Television, Video Games, the Secret Category, Disney, Name The Celebrity, What Is?, Anything Goes, and finally the Top 10. The blue boxes are standard trivia questions worth $200. The center box is a two-part question worth $300, which you will get some extra time to think about it. The red boxes are special categories and they work like this. For the Secret category, get that question correct and we double all the cash that is in the pot. What Is? is in the style of Jeopardy!. I will give you a category and then you will tell me how much you would like to "wager", from $200, $400, $600, $800, and $1,000. Get the question correct and that money gets added to the pot. Of course, you must respond in the form of a question. The Top 10 is a list of 10 items, where you will each takes turns guessing items on the list. Whoever gives me the top answer gets the box. So with that said, let's begin. James, since you are the champion, you will get the first crack at the board. Please pick a category.

Going with Television. That seems to be a popular subject here. Here comes your question under Television. James...
What future Andy Griffith Show star was Tim Tremble on The Howdy Doody Show? For the box, name him.

Going with For The Kids. This should be an easy question, but we'll see. Here comes your For The Kids question. Kevin...
On November 18, 1985, the grown-ups on Sesame Street got to meet Mr. Snuffalupagus for the first time. What was the main reason that the show finally revealed Snuffy? For the box, name it.

*buzzer* And that is time. I'm sorry Kevin. The correct answer we were looking for is actually a sad one. The reason that Snuffy was finally revealed was because at the time, there were many cases of pedophilia, in some cases the children told an adult but they weren't believed. It's a very sad reason, but at least the adults now know and love Snuffy to this day. Unfortunately, I cannot give you the box. We still have $200 in the pot. Let's shuffle: James, we're back to you.

Name The Celebrity. Alright James. Here's out it works. I am going to describe to you a celebrity and you have to tell me who it is. There are 2 descriptions and you will have extra time to think about them. Here they are:
This person is not necessarily a celebrity, but in the 1990s, he was considered to be one. He became a pop culture icon after appearing on The Arsenio Hall Show and showcasing his talent of playing the saxophone. That's the first one. Your second one is:
This celebrity was nicknamed The Great One. He was a big TV star in the 1950s and was also the star of his own variety show. Those are your two descriptions. Here is your extra time to think about it.
*think music*
Okay James. Which one would you like to answer first.
(Remember, say the first or second. Let me repeat the description, then give me your answer.)

Going with Name The Celebrity. Get this correct and you will have a horizontal block of James. Here comes your celebrity description. Kevin...
This actor has racked up an impressive number of film and television appearances in the 50+ years of his career. His most notable films include "Brian's Song", "Lady Sings the Blues" and "Batman". For the block, name him.

Michael Keaton?
|
|
|
Post by grapebuy789 on Jan 27, 2018 11:31:22 GMT -5
No I am sorry. It is not Michael Keaton. *buzzer* The correct answer we were looking for was Billy Dee Williams. A very fine actor who has done many great things in TV and film. So no box there. We still have $500 in the pot. Let's shuffle: James, it's back to you.
