The time has come to usher in a new era of Family Feud, as we get to play the Ray Combs version for the first time ever! Here are the changes for this edition:
The family that wins a face-off by getting the Number 1 answer (or the better answer if neither side got Number 1) automatically plays the question. As such, the option to pass is no longer available.
On a steal attempt, I will ask each family member to give me an answer in the reverse order of their appearance, and one by one. Starting with the third player and moving up to the second, I will ask for their suggestions, and then the captain will have a choice of either accepting one of his teammates' answers or giving his own.
The winning goal for Fast Money is once again $300.
The first two rounds are now in their own segments.
A new sound effect is added for revealing Fast Money answers.
And last but certainly not least, here comes my favorite part: There will be returning champions, so the family who wins this episode will get to play again in 1989. Champions can play up to five games in a row.
I need six players to help get this era started. Meanwhile, enjoy this random episode from Combs' debut season:
