(dings; audience applause; win music plays; MG-HSH theme plays) David's our winner! (players shake hands) David, please join me over here. Nels' answer, by the way, was "bookworm". Sorry the tie-breaker didn't work out. But you do take home $1000 in cash and some fine gifts from Match Game. Nice hand for Nels! (more cheers) (MG desks roll off toward stage left; rest of celeb grid rolls in from stage right) David, as for you, $1500 -- but that's a mere pittance compared to what's at stake in Hollywood Squares. Lots of cash, some great prizes and more. Tony and I trade places and three more stars join in on the fun. Stay right there!

Well, Tony, to be quite fair, we weren't expecting an Oscars nomination. In fact, I said during a post-credits scene--- for those of you still there--- that we weren't expecting an Oscar for any major awards. The best we could hope for was something like cinematography or set design. But, we set out what we accomplished to do, made a lot of money, and hopefully made a lot of people happy. And I'm officially in the M-C-U! (audience.... reacts)

The good news is that your show (according to "Access") is once again nominated at an upcoming 2018 Net Game Awards three seasons from now.
And Mark... care to share with us on the return of "The Joker's Wild" ?

Certainly Tony. It's your classic Joker's Wild that everyone loves, but we have changed it to a best two out of three in order to better fit a half hour as well as to eliminate straddling.

I'm sure everyone will be watching your show on the other network as well as CBC for those of you watching this program from the north. Now that our brief chat with the stars is over, let's begin The Hollywood Squares... shall we, Dave? (cheers and applause)*both host and challenger sit in their own desk* And sitting in the X desk is our returning champion. Making his third appearance, he has an all-cash total of $160,000. Please welcome... Matt Ringgenberg. (cheers and applause)Matt... please tell everyone in TV land about you for a moment.

Short and sweet... anyways, good luck to you, Matt. The object of the game is to get three stars in a row-- Either across... up and down... or diagonally-- or get as many of the squares as they possibly can. It's up to them if the star is telling them the truth or just setting things up with a bluff. That's how they get the square. We'll continue playing the game until we hear the time's up bell. Whoever is ahead at the end of this portion, will be playing the Super Match for a possible chance to win up to $100,000. (cheers and applause)Round 1 is worth $1,000... and each captured square throughout the rounds is worth $250. Matt... since you're the champ, you're up first. If you're ready, please pick a square.
