Josh Allington is our new champ with a one day total of $22,500. Last time, we came oh so close to a Big Numbers win but we couldn't get it. Jackpot is at $65,000 for this episode and we need a challenger for Josh. If you'd like to play, sign up here. (I ask that Matt Riggenberg sit this episode out as he has played the last five shows in a row but that was mainly due to him being the champion on a few of them)

Let's get going with this episode. Now, in order to get this episode in before Christmas, the deadlines will be 24 hours for this one instead of the usual 48. Wit that said, away we go. (cue intro) Rich: And now, a game of high stakes! Where every decision is a gamble and every move could be your last! From Television City in Hollywood, it's High Rollers! (cue 1987 theme) And here's the man with all the action, Mark Liotta! (I come out to a tremendous applause from the audience) Me: Thank you, Rich Fields. (Theme fades out) Welcome once again to High Rollers, everyone. I think we're going to have a great time today, because not only is it the holiday season but we've got a jackpot of $65,000 just waiting to be won in the Big Numbers game today. That would certainly be a nice Christmas present for someone. Now then, let's bring out our two players for today's match. Rich: Our returning champion is a high school student from Canada, welcome back Josh Allington! Josh has a one day total of $22,500 and opposing him today is Kevin Kolsen. Me: Great to have you with us today, Kevin. Anything in particular that you'd like to have for Christmas?

Not sure just yet. Maybe some practical things like new clothes. It’s different when you’re grown up!

It certainly is. I don't really want to receive anything this year, but I do want to give away some cash and prizes. So let's go ahead and do that right now as we start our first game. And speaking of cash, all three columns for this first game have plenty of cash available. $10,000 apiece in columns one and two, while column three has $15,000! (audience cheers) That makes for a grand total of $35,000 in cash that can be won from our board in this first round alone. Let's put the numbers up on the board, shall we?
6 3 8 5 4 2 9 7 1
And our hot column is column three. Clear that and you walk away with fifteen grand; here comes the first question of this match. What company is the largest producer of computer software for the personal computer?

(Buzzes in) Is it Microsoft

It is indeed Microsoft, and the first roll of the day goes to Josh. (I will control Josh's dice rolls again in this episode since he's limited to his phone)

4 is gone.
6 3 8 5 X 2 9 7 1
And here's the next question. What is the highest-rated syndicated television show?
|
|
|
Post by GameShowNetwork on Dec 3, 2017 19:11:29 GMT -5
(boop boop boop) I'm surprised nobody got this one. It's been in syndication since 1983 and the show we were looking for here is, of course, Wheel Of Fortune. Maybe this next one will be a little easier. Which country besides the United States produces the largest number of Major League baseball players?

No, it's the Dominican Republic. All rolls are still good for you Josh, so let's see what comes up for you this time.

The 5 on its own.
6 3 8 X X 2 9 7 1
next question coming up, and a very appropriate one for this time of the year. The dutch words Sinter Klaas give us the name of what jolly guy who delivers presents on Christmas Eve?

1990 is correct! Good numbers are 6,7,8 and 9; roll or pass?

Okay Josh, get one of those numbers or a double and you're good. Otherwise, round goes to Kevin. Let's see what happens for you.
