This episode will start the Bob Goen/CBS era of Daytime Wheel! Quite a few things to keep in mind with the overhaul:
-We're playing for cash from here on out. No more shopping. -There will be a minimum of four rounds. The top dollar amounts are $500 for Rounds 1 and 2, $1,000 for Round 3 and $1,250 after that. At the rate we've been going, expect to see six- or even seven-round games. -$50 is now the minimum value on the wheel. -Free Spin is now available in Rounds 1 and 2. -Vowels now cost $200. -Prize wedges are added to the wheel beginning in Round 2. Up to two prizes will be added in subsequent rounds if one is claimed. Landing on a Prize wedge gives you the right to pick it up and call a letter for the value underneath. Prize wedges are removed if a round begins as a Speed-Up. -$5,000 cash is now available to play for in the Bonus Round.
Since we're nearing the end of the daytime run, I've added a poll as to what should happen after the 1991 episode is finished since the daytime version ended there. I have three options for it: Should I start a second season of Nighttime Seasons, convert to Nighttime and continue from there or keep doing the Daytime version until the present day as if it was never cancelled?
Josh Allington won $22,145 on our last show. I need him to check in and I need two challengers to sign up as well. Who's in?

Audience: WHEEL!...OF!...FORTUNE! *1989 Changing Keys* Jim Thornton: Look at this studio, filled with lots of exciting prizes! Including... Our all-new $5,000 cash bonus! An exciting trip to Greece! Two new rooms for the house! Plus thousands of dollars in cash, all waiting to be won on today's show! Yes, from Net Game Central, it's Wheel of Fortune! And now, here's your host: Kevin Kolsen! Me: Hello, everybody! Happy New Year once again! Yes, it's another year of our blast from the past here on Wheel of Fortune. We're going to play as they did back in 1989 and we're going to do it the Bob Goen way. Don't worry, this is still the same Wheel of Fortune you know and love. We're on a brand new network with a new set and new ways to play. Before we do anything, it's my pleasure to introduce our hostess, the lovely Vanna White! Vanna! *bridge of '89 Changing Keys plays as Vanna walks on stage to the puzzle board* Why don't we meet our three players on this episode of Wheel? Starting in the red is our returning champion, Josh Allington. Josh, you had a great time yesterday winning $22,145 on our show. *cheers and applause* Josh, do you think you can repeat that feat today?

That’s good. You won a lot here. Maybe you’ll give CBS a run for its money, too. Let’s say hi to your first opponent, Bill Skinner. How are you today, Bill?

I'm doing just fine, Kevin. And here's an interesting tidbit that I'd like to share: Seeing that this is 1989, and I'm running some show called Family Feud: Seasons, very soon you'll see me host some new episodes in this same studio, because we're getting closer to the end of the Richard Dawson era and to the beginning of the Ray Combs one. I'm very excited for that, but in the meantime, I'm so ready to spin and win on this show as well; welcome to CBS!

Thank you for that, Bill. I see many prosperous years ahead of us here with Family Feud preceding us and The Price is Right ahead. It's a shame we had to put Chuck Henry out of a job.
*laughter*
Finally, we get to hear from Frank Sartori in the blue. How are things?

Things are well. I just started hosting Press Your Luck on CBS and I have a feeling I'll be giving away a lot of cash.

Sounds like fun. I wish you lots of success on Press Your Luck and on here as well. Let's play Wheel of Fortune! *spins wheel* $500 is the top dollar for Round 1. We're now playing for cash. Don't adjust your sets, the wheel did not shrink in the wash. We just blew the budget on Vanna's outfits. *laughter* Speaking of Vanna, here she is about to show you our first puzzle. *puzzle reveal chimes* We want you to identify this Person/Fictional Character combo. Just before the show, we drew numbers to see who would start the game. And Josh, it's gonna be you. Good luck!
