That number has to be higher.

So mringgenberg says 30... ding!...and grapebuy789 says higher. ding! Now the actual number of people who say that they own both a computer and a tablet is... ding-ding-ding!...76, so it is higher, and once again, grapebuy789 gets another shot at a win. Let's see what your new base card will be. (5 ♥)It's a 5. Of course, you have the option to change your base if you want, so what are you going to do?

Let's change the 5.

And the 5 now becomes...
(2 ♠)
...a 2! I see an easy win coming...

I smell it too. Higher!

Of course, you have to go higher, and if it is indeed higher than a 2, you are one card closer to getting back in the Money Cards round. Now, is it higher?
(8 ⋄)
ding!
And you have a chance right here to end it right here, right now. Are you going to continue or freeze?

Lower!

This is it, for a return trip to the Money Cards and a shot at redemption. For the win, is it lower than an 8? (3 ⋄)ding-ding-ding!(1978 CS Win Cue) And now grapebuy789 is going back to the Money Cards, but first, I want to thank you, mringgenberg for being here, even though you just did not get too many chances to play. We do have some nice parting gifts for you, and we're looking forward to your next time here. (1978 CS Theme) How much will grapebuy789 win in the Money Cards this time? Find out after this.

grapebuy789 is back for the second time, and hopefully we'll see a better result in your return. Of course, you have the $2,000 in guaranteed cash for winning the game, and you will be back to play on the next show. Right now, though, let's focus on winning some cash in the Money Cards. You'll start out with $500 in guaranteed cash, and you can bet any amount on the next card, except you must bet at least half of your bank in the Big Bet. Also, you can change the first card on each row if you want to. With that in mind, let's see the first card. It is... (9 ⋄)...a 9. Now would you like to play it right away or change it?

Hmmm...I think I'll bet $150 and say lower.

For $650, is it lower than a 9?
(Q ♥)
buzz!
Sorry, you go down to $350, but you have another card to bet on.

Let's do $100 lower.

For $550, is it lower than a Jack?
(J ♥)
buzz!
Bad news: It's another Jack! But the good news, though: We move it to the next row and add $1,000 to the bank, so you now have $1,350 to bet with. Would you like to play the Jack right now or change it?

Post by grapebuy789 on Nov 9, 2017 8:26:26 GMT -5
Let's change that Jack.
|
|
|
Post by Bill Skinner on Nov 9, 2017 10:27:44 GMT -5
And we change the Jack to...
(Q ♠)
...a Queen! So what's your bet on this?

For $2,100, is it lower than a 10?
(6 ⋄)

Yes, and you're one more card away from the Big Bet! Your next bet, please.

Let's just do $200 and say lower.

For $2,300, is it lower than a 6?
(8 ♠)
buzz!
No, it's an 8, but we move that to the last row, and now, you must bet at least half of your bank, which would be $950. Also, you'll get one more chance to change your base card, which is the 8. Now what's your pleasure?
|
|
|
Post by grapebuy789 on Nov 10, 2017 17:10:02 GMT -5
I'm gonna change that 8.
|
|
|
Post by Bill Skinner on Nov 11, 2017 0:31:46 GMT -5
Let's change the 8, and what does it become?
(K ♥)
A King! So you must bet an amount between $950 and $1,900 here. What do you say?

$950 lower.

Even if you don't get it, at least you'll get a lot ore than what you had the first time, and no matter what happens, you will be back to play on our next show. Now, for $2,850, is it lower than a King?
(4 ♠)
ding-ding-ding!
(1978 CS Win Cue)
You got it! And when we add it to the $2,000 that you get for winning the game, you now have a more impressive total of $4,850, and you now have a two-day total of $6,950! Well done. (1978 CS Theme) Join us next time, when grapebuy789 will try to make it three in a row against a new challenger. I'm Bill Skinner, saying thanks for tuning in, and we'll see you again right here on Card Sharks! So long, everybody!
