I, too, would freeze, just to be safe. Now let's get into the third question, which will be answered by grapebuy789. We asked 100 NFL fans: "In light of the recent protests by the league's players, have you completely given up on watching it?"How many of those people said yes?

I won't delve into it much, but I would say there are some people who have given up on the NFL due to these recent protests. I think the number is generally small, so I will say 35.

So it's 35 for grapebuy789. ding! Now mringgenberg, is the actual number higher or lower than 35?

It's a little lower.

mringgenberg says it's lower. ding! And the actual number of NFL fans who have given up on watching it is... ding-ding-ding!...43, so it's not lower, and grapebuy789 now has a chance to win. Are you going to play the 7 or change it?
Post by grapebuy789 on Oct 30, 2017 17:47:31 GMT -5
I'm going to change the 7.
Post by Bill Skinner on Oct 30, 2017 22:50:44 GMT -5
Sure, we can change it. And what does that become?
(A ♥)
Aha! It's an Ace, so you may as well go ahead and say lower.

Can't lose. Lower!

Unless it's another Ace, you will take the first round. Now is it lower? (7 ⋄)ding-ding-ding!(1978 CS Win Cue) Yes, it is, and you lead mringgenberg, one to none. (1978 CS Theme) When we return, though, we'll give mringgenberg a chance to catch up and tie the match. Stay tuned to find out if he does it; we'll be back after this.

Welcome back to Card Sharks, where we're about to begin our second round! This time around, it's mringgenberg who will answer our first question, which we asked to 100 parents:
"Do you dress up in costumes with your kids on Halloween?"
How many said yes?
Post by mringgenberg on Oct 31, 2017 11:50:31 GMT -5
56
Post by Bill Skinner on Oct 31, 2017 12:22:01 GMT -5
56 for mringgenberg... ding!...and grapebuy789, is the actual number higher or lower than 56?
Post by grapebuy789 on Oct 31, 2017 15:10:27 GMT -5
I'm going to say it's higher.
Post by Bill Skinner on Oct 31, 2017 22:46:39 GMT -5
grapebuy789 says higher on that... ding!...and the actual number of parents who say they dress up with their kids on Halloween is... ding-ding-ding!...77, so it is higher, and once again, grapebuy789 has control of the cards. Let's see what you're going to start out with. (2 ⋄)You have got to be kidding me, a 2! Well, I won't even bother asking, but it's up to you.

Higher!
Post by Bill Skinner on Nov 1, 2017 22:41:56 GMT -5
(Of course!)
Is it higher than a 2?
(10 ♥)
ding!
Yes, a 10! Continue or freeze?
Post by grapebuy789 on Nov 2, 2017 7:47:36 GMT -5
Lower!
Post by Bill Skinner on Nov 2, 2017 9:54:08 GMT -5
Lower than a 10?
(4 ⋄)
ding!
Got it again! And now you're halfway to another win, and the Money Cards round. So what's your decision?

Post by grapebuy789 on Nov 2, 2017 10:26:12 GMT -5
I'll freeze.
Post by Bill Skinner on Nov 2, 2017 14:18:09 GMT -5
We'll freeze it right there, and get into our next question. Now grapebuy789, we asked 100 Twitter users: "Do you like the idea of posting tweets of up to 280 characters long?"How many of them said yes?
Post by grapebuy789 on Nov 2, 2017 14:34:05 GMT -5
Hm....I'm going to say 54.
Post by mringgenberg on Nov 2, 2017 16:13:54 GMT -5
It's lower
Post by Bill Skinner on Nov 2, 2017 22:56:13 GMT -5
So grapebuy789 says 54... ding!...and mringgenberg says lower. ding! The actual number of Twitter users who like the idea of posting tweets of up to 280 characters long is... ding-ding-ding!...64, so it's not lower, and once again, grapebuy789 will try for the win here. Are you going to play the 4 or change it?
Post by grapebuy789 on Nov 3, 2017 5:56:52 GMT -5
I'd like to change the 4.
Post by Bill Skinner on Nov 3, 2017 9:13:02 GMT -5
Alright, let's change that 4. Now the card that you must play is...
(J ⋄)
...a Jack! Is the next card higher or lower?
Post by grapebuy789 on Nov 3, 2017 13:49:46 GMT -5
Let's try lower.
Post by Bill Skinner on Nov 4, 2017 2:02:52 GMT -5
Lower than a Jack?
(K ♣)
buzz!
Nope, that's not it. So mringgenberg, you will get to play your cards, but you must play this first one, which is...
(8 ♥)
...an 8. Is the next card higher or lower?
Post by mringgenberg on Nov 4, 2017 8:44:46 GMT -5
Lower
Post by Bill Skinner on Nov 4, 2017 23:27:46 GMT -5
Lower than an 8?
(K ♠)
buzz!
And you, too, gut burned by a King! As a result, our dealers will reload your cards, and we will get into our third question. mringgenberg, we asked 100 people:
"Do you own both a computer and a tablet?"
How many of them said yes?
