If Dale Jarrett won the Brickyard 400 in 1996, Antonio's our new champion. Did D.J. take the checkers at Indy in '96? (ding; audience cheers)He sure did. That's the game, that's the match and Antonio Gray is our new champion with $6000 -- with a chance to win more at the winner's board, shortly. Then there's the little matter of a Super Crag. Frank Sartori, you ran into some tough luck today -- but you won a lot of money on the last show. You're taking home our great thanks as well as a check for $85,100 -- and all this applause. (audience cheers)Antono, congratulations on the fine win. Now you have a chance to top it off with an extra $5000. It along with lesser amounts are hiding behind the letters in Crag. Whatever you win from the board we match as the head start in Super Crag. For more reasons than one, you'd love to find that $5000 payoff. Where is it?

A for Antonio. For winning the match, Antonio receives an extra... (dings; audience applause)...$3000. Brings your total up for the day so far to nine grand. (clip rolls on monitor) Nappa: What? 9000? There's no way that can be right.(scattered laughter from the crowd) Just when I thought I could avoid that bit. Where was the five grand? (ding)G for Gray. Come back and see if Antonio can take us for a million bucks. Super Crag is next. (WGYN theme plays; audience applauds)

(Doug in pre-recorded audio as contestant plug cue plays)If you'd like to be a contestant on Crag: The Numbers Game, call our contestant hotline at 1-800-555-CRAG -- or visit TraxProductions.net/crag.(audience applauds) Antonio's our new champion with $9000 already to the good -- despite what Nappa would say otherwise. Antonio, a couple of lucky dice rolls would make you a millionaire. What would you do if you won $1,000,000?

Sounds like you have some well thought out plans. Antonio, please say hello to Lorelei, today's dice girl. She now has your Super Crag dice. The dice in the cup are smaller -- but the stakes are bigger. Since you won $3000 from the winner's board... (ding)... we seed the pot with a different $3000. Every time you want to play Super Crag, you roll all three dice -- and if it's a safe roll, you'll win more money based on the roll's value in hundreds of dollars. All 20-point straights are now worth $2000 each. Any triple -- $2500. Roll 13 in any combination for $2600 -- *BUT* if that combination of 13 has a pair of a particular number in it, that's a Crag for $5000. (audience cheers)(rolling sfx)Antonio, you want to build up the pot to at least $10,000. Have more than 10 grand in the pot -- and you win tonight's super bonus *of*... (dings; audience cheers)...$40,000. But if you're really lucky and can hit $10,000 right on the nose, you win that mega bonus of $1,000,000. (audience cheers)Now for the bad news. Every roll does come with a risk -- as Lorelei will show us. (scattered boos) Yes -- boos for the gremlin. One number on that cube has been replaced with the gremlin. If he comes up, you lose everything in the Super Crag. So after every safe roll, I'll give you a chance to stop. You *may* stop right now, take $3000 and call it a day -- or you may risk everything in the pot by rolling the Super Crag dice. (audience shouts suggestions) (Antonio, if you wish to risk and roll, please respond with a number from 1-100. You'll see the result of that roll and the next few down the list so long as you have less than $10,000 in the pot, not stop the game and not roll the losing gremlin.)

(Antonio shakes up bucket) Looks like he'll roll. (audience cheers as Antonio pours dice down ramp) (scattered applause) And a good first roll. Twelve points become $1200. Just like that, the pot's up to $4200. Simple math tells us an eight-pointer and a Crag, not necessarily in that order, make you a millionaire. Would you like to stop and keep $4200 -- or risk the money on your second roll? (audience shouts suggestions)

Rolling again. (audience cheers as Lorelei hands Antonio bucket; he shakes up bucket) Good luck. Let's see if you can get an 8 or a Crag. (more cheers as Antonio pours dice down ramp) (scattered cheers) And it's a high straight. Good for $2000 more. You're now up to $6200. Million's still possible -- but you'll have to get some really lucky rolls. You may stop and keep $6200 -- or risk it all on your third roll? (audience shouts suggestions)

(audience cheers as Lorelei hands Antonio bucket; he shakes up bucket) Third roll coming up here. Good luck (more cheers as Antonio pours dice down ramp) (audience groans; wonk wonk wonk wonk)Oh darn. Gremlin. Sorry about that. Well, you're out $6000 and change. But -- would you like to drop kick the gremlin cube off the stage?

(audience cheers) Nice job on the frustration. No money from Super Crag -- but a great payday from the numbers games -- $9000. Plus you're still the champ, you'll defend your crown and you'll win more money for sure. Right now, we're going to seek an audience game player -- after this. (WGYN theme plays; audience applauds)

Greetings, all.
Some housekeeping notes before we proceed with an audience game.
\ This will be the final episode of Crag for 2017. Please rest assured Crag will return in 2018.
\ The presently-titled Crag: The Numbers Game will be celebrating its fifth anniversary next year. Preliminary plans have begun for a tournament of champions. (Lenny Jackson, Marc Enyedy and John Lopez, if you're reading this, please be looking for a PM here in NGC.) If plans come together, it will likely be a three-episode affair with the parenthetically aforementioned players competing with a fourth player TBD (this person would be our wild card entry). Winners of the matches in the first two episodes then play off in the third episode for the grand championship. Should this tournament happen, this also means Antonio Gray would defend his crown after the tournament's over.
\ Ultimately, please know Crag: The Numbers Game couldn't have made it this far and this long, lasting over three different forums -- including NGC -- without you. So I thank you for your support.
Now -- who's up for an audience game? Anyone who hasn't played in the main games *and* hasn't qualified for the potential tournament is eligible to play.

So -- I gather you could use some extra cash. Who couldn't? Matt, you're going to be glad you're playing our audience game. Crag: The Numbers Game is about to celebrate its fifth anniversary. And we'd like to get a head start on celebrating by playing a game we haven't played since our first year was complete. So -- Matt -- you're going to be playing our version of Sic Bo *for*... (audience cheers)...a minimum of $20,000. What's even better is that cash prize *could* grow as we play. Here's how the game works. Behind one of the letters in "Sic Bo", we've hidden the word "win". Behind the remaining four letters are gremlins. To improve your chances of winning the $20,000, Lorelei will be rolling three dice four times. To clarify, there are no gremlins on the dice -- just on the game board. But before she rolls, you have to predict whether the dice roll's total value will lead to an odd sum, an even sum, a small sum or a big sum. Each time you're correct, we randomly eliminate a gremlin and replace it with $500. If you have *not* eliminated all the gremlins after four dice rolls, you'll then get to choose from one of the remaining letters to cash in on $20,000. Sound good so far?

Sounds good.

One more thing. Anytime Lorelei's roll totals 13, whether or not you make the correct call, we add $2600 to the pot *unless* it's a Crag. In case of a Crag, we put $5000 in the pot. (audience cheers)So you don't necessarily *want* to choose odd or big every time. But if you think it will eliminate gremlins, make one of those picks. Right now, let's start eliminating some gremlins. Do you think Lorelei's first roll of the dice will lead to an odd sum, an even sum, a small sum or a big sum? (Note from Doug: This close to Thanksgiving with the holidays to follow, no deadline pressure in this audience game.)

Let's start off with a big sum.

|
|
Post by dougmorrisontheair on Nov 18, 2017 21:44:39 GMT -5
Going with a big sum. That means we're looking for numbers that total 11 or more. Lorelei, please roll some big numbers. (Lorelei shakes up bucket; pours dice down ramp) (buzz) (audience groans) Nope, it's a small sum -- 2, 1 and another 1. I should put out had she rolled triple 1, that still counts as a low sum. The combinations worth 20 or more from Crag are not factoring into Sic Bo. We're just looking for sums that are low, high, odd or even. With that clarified, still four gremlins up there. At this moment, as many as three of them can go bye-bye. Let's try it again. Do you think Lorelei's next roll will be an odd sum, an even sum, a small sum or a big sum?

Let’s go with Even

Post by dougmorrisontheair on Nov 19, 2017 8:32:06 GMT -5
An even sum. Lorelei, we'd like an even sum, please (Lorelei shakes up bucket; pours dice down ramp) (ding; audience applause) And we get one. All twos; they add up to the even sum of six. Now, watch what's about to happen. Please randomly reveal a location of a gremlin. (ding) There *was* one at S -- which we now replace with... (ding) ...a $500 bill. Two rolls remains in the game. What's the call on this; odd, even, low or high?

Let's go for an odd one this time.
