Rich Fields: Three of these boxes contain Money Bags that could break tonight's bank starting at $5,500! Is it this one? Or this one? Or this one? We will find out in this game of hide and seek as two players compete from the BancorpSouth Arena in Tupelo, Ms to play.................................. BREAK THE BANK!!! (huge applause) And now, the host of Break The Bank: Bryan Law!!!! (huge applause) Thank you Rich Fields, and thank you one and all to Break The Bank! We had an exciting back to back debut last week here on the CW, and we hope to continue with the current success. Rich we have two new players with us tonight, could you kindly tell us who they are? Rich: Right you will Bryan! First player is a cashier for a national sub sandwich chain who loves writing, playing net games, bicycling and learning new languages! Meet Kourtney Wilson! (applause) His opponent is a college student from the University of Massachusetts and lives in Holbrook, meet Frank Sartori! (applause) Gentlemen welcome to the show, if you are ready for a breakdown of the game he it is! You notice how all the colored boxes are touching each other, the way the dollar amounts connect! The object is to match all three dollar amounts together and if you do, you win that amount multiple of three including a special surprise prize! You see a Wild Card which can be helpful, but stay away from the blanks as they will cost you your turn! You noticed five Money Bags scattered all over the board! If you are the first to find three Money Bags, you will break the bank which tonight starts at....... (ding) $5,500! (applause) Now the way this game works, I will ask true or false questions and every time you are correct you keep playing! If you miss one you lose your turn and control goes to your opponent! On our last program, we kinda had some confusing on whose turn it was and I wanted to point that out and be sure everyone understands! There is no race to any goal, we play three games and three games only depending on the length of time! Dollar amounts for Game One are $100, $200 and $300! Kourtney you were the first to volunteer, so you get first selecion! Good luck!

Let’s start at the top. #1 please.

Number 1, could we see it please........................ It is a $300 box! True or false: The "i" in Apple products (as in "iPad" and "iPhone") stands for "ingenuity."

I will say false here.

You are right! (applause) According to Apple, the prefix means "Internet" and also stands for its products' emphasis on the "individual." Kourtney has one $300 box, and where the first is located you have a 50/50 chance of finding the next one behind 2 or 6, but the choice is yours! Where to next?

Kourtney has 24 hours to make his next selection or he will forfeit his turn!

Is a $300 box behind number 6................................. Nope, it is a $100 box! Now we know where the second $300 box is! True or false: When Ronald Reagan challenged communist leaders to "tear down this wall," he was referring to the Great Wall of China.
Post by pathfinder20 on Oct 5, 2017 16:23:24 GMT -5
False!
Post by Bryan on Oct 5, 2017 17:50:20 GMT -5
Definitely false! (applause) He was referring to the Berlin Wall, which was finally opened in 1989 after the collapse of the communist East German government. Kourtney, you now have one $100 box and one $300 box, what is your choice knowing where the second $300 box is?

Number 2 is indeed a $300 box! (applause) True or false: The Oscar-winning film Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967) deals with interracial marriage.

True
Post by Bryan on Oct 5, 2017 21:24:41 GMT -5
Yes it was true! (applause) Until a Supreme Court ruling in June 1967, interracial marriage was still illegal in many U.S. states. Kourtney now has 2 $300 boxes and 1 $100 box, you want to find the last $300 box?

Is number 3 the last $300 box............................... The last $300 box! (huge applause) Now Kourtney if you get this right, you will win $900 including a special surprise prize! And for sweeping the match you will earn a $1,000 bonus! (huge applause) Here is your question: True or false: Corn is the most produced crop in the world.

Kourtney has 24 hours to answer!

FALSE
Post by Bryan on Oct 8, 2017 16:19:07 GMT -5
No it is true! (AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW) Corn is first, wheat is second, rice is third. That means Frank gets the block and makes his first pick of Game One!

Numero ocho! (That's 8 in Spanish.)

Post by Bryan on Oct 8, 2017 16:41:34 GMT -5
Put in a five and we have Ocho Cinco! (laughter) If you're a Chad Johnson fan from the NFL, you'll get it quick! Number 8 has..................... It is a $200 box! True or false: In the famous novel of the same name, Frankenstein is a monster constructed from body parts.
Post by grapebuy789 on Oct 8, 2017 16:44:20 GMT -5
I believe Frankenstein was the doctor. So I'm gonna say it's false.
Post by Bryan on Oct 8, 2017 16:51:38 GMT -5
You believed correct! (applause) A common mistake, "Frankenstein" is the name of the doctor who creates the monster; the monster is unnamed. You have one $200 box in your possession, where to next Frank?
