Episode 3 is on the horizon. Hoping to start it this coming Saturday, August 12th.
Raymond Weaver has won 2 championships and $913,250. If he plays the bonus game for his third and final time and if he lands on Go or passes Go, he'll not only win big cash, but a Rolls Royce as well.
But first Raymond needs 2 new challengers to take him on.
There's a rule I'm using where previous challengers who have lost to the current champion may not play again until a new champion is crowned, or until a champion is retired.
With this rule in effect, I will need two new challengers.
Those who have to wait until after this episode to sign up again(unless nobody else decides to play of course):

The game will hopefully begin sometime later this morning.
Pat and Frank, I will use random.org to determine which one of you will play the first $100,000 game. As before, Raymond, the defending champion, automatically plays the third $100,000 game.
Also, thanks to the 4 folks who voted so far on this poll, as well as the 10 who voted on the poll from episode 1. I am gratified to see thus far 4 out of 4 of you very much like the addition of "The Great Land Grab" as a qualifying game to play for the $1,000,000.
Raymond will try to make it to the bonus one last time and perhaps win $1,000,000 and a Rolls Royce!

Well my name is Frank Driscoll. I just turned 19 last month. I'm about to start my second year at San Francisco State University (Go Gators!) where I'm studying broadcasting. But in the mean time, I make a living as a checker and bagger for a local chain of supermarkets.

Any money you bank during that game will be used to determine your position later on tonight during our bonus round qualifying game "The Great Land Grab". You will be guaranteed to take home at least half of what you bank during your $100,000 game, so keep that in mind as well. We have eight different games in our lineup, the names of each one is concealed by one of these 8 Monopoly board tokens. Frank, please select a token and we'll reveal which game you will play tonight. |

And the game you have chosen...  Ah, the Electric Company! Let's go to the game board!  Frank, here is the power grid. There are 25 light bulbs in total, but to bank the $100,000, you have to light up 24. That 25th bulb, the red bulb, will cause a black out and you'll win nothing. There are 10 different color switches in front of you, each one lights up a different number of bulbs, anywhere from 1 through 10. Each number is there only once, so if you light up 5 bulbs with one switch, that will be the only switch that has 5 bulbs. The colors from left to right are brown, light blue, pink, orange, silver, red, yellow, green, dark blue and white. Frank, if you have no questions, select a color switch to flip and we'll see how many light bulbs you illuminate. |

Orange you glad he didn't say "banana"?  Flip that switch!   One!  Two!  Three!  Four!  Five!  Six! Getting into big money here now!  Seven!  EIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!  NINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  TEN! You flipped the biggest one! Now you're up to $25,000 Frank with just 3 switches! However, now there's some danger lurking...  The 3, 7 and 10 switches are out of play. You will make more money if you flip the switch that lights up 1 or 2 more bulbs. If you flick the switch with 4, you'll bank $100,000 and take home at least half of that amount! However, four switches will cause a blackout and you'll lose everything. So do you want to quit, or do you want to gamble on another switch Frank? 3 are safe, 4 are unsafe. What's your decision? |

All,
My son will be moving into college in less than two weeks, so I may not be on as often until after we get him moved in and settled in.
Additionally, one of my co-workers suddenly quit yesterday, leaving us somewhat short-handed, so work will be far far busier for me, and it will afford me little if any time to come on these boards during work hours. I will still go on from home, but it will be rather limited until August 26th so I ask all the hosts and my contestants to please bare with me.
Lastly, I'm not sure why, but my postimage images are coming out looking somewhat "wonky" for lack of a better word and that has me mildly discouraged, not to mention waking up this morning to a note from my wife saying our clothes dryer died, so we'll be busy getting a new one and having that delivered some time this week, plus I'm getting new glasses that should be in today or tomorrow, so I have a rather hectic and busy calendar up through August 26th at least.

(apologies if the images look bad, I cannot for the life of me figure out why)  Patseen, get ready to Ride The Rails! All aboard!  Here is the Monopoly Railroad station. There are ten different railroad lines...  Each line has a different number of cash cars attached, anywhere from as little as 1 to as many as 10. You're going to select 4 lines, one at a time. The first railroad line pays $1,000 per cash car. The second pays $2,000 per cash car, the third $3,000 per cash car and the fourth pays $5,000 per cash car. If you can get the money built up to $50,000 or more, we'll double it and you'll bank $100,000! And be guaranteed at least $50,000 of that. The one thing you have to remember is that caboose. If the caboose appears before you hit the brake, you will bank $0 for that particular train line. Patseen, if you have no questions, please select a railroad line, and also tell me how many cash cars you're willing to see before you want to hit the brake, from one to ten. |

 Very well, hitting the brake after 6 cash cars appear with the Washington line.  (whistle) Train is leaving the station!  One thousand...  Two thousand...  Three-thousand...  Four-thousand...  Hey FIVE-Thousand!  Oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dog gone it! Went one car too many....but that's okay, still a chance to reach $50,000...  The Washington line is the only line with 5 cars. This next line will pay $2,000 per cash car Patseen. Pick another line and lock in how many cash cars you'll want to see before you hit that brake. |
