All,
Blockbusters, the game of speed and strategy, will now be one hour long. Many new features will be included in this game of knowledge and skill and will debut on the NBC-2 Network (something I just made up, akin to ESPN 2, since regular NBC has A. The "Today" show for 19 hours and B. Many hosts here have shows on NBC daytime already)...
I'll need three people at least to sign up, as I anticipate one full match will be completed at the very least in the hour long time slot.
First to sign up will sit at the red desk, where the champion usually sits, second will sit at the white, and the third to sign up will play the winner of the first match.
Best, Bill

My apologies to you, Bill... but you are the victim of "FAKE NEWS". Bob Hilton still lives. Never use Wiki as a go to source.

Welcome to the program Matt, and best of luck to you as well in this match. The object of the game is for our players to connect one side of the board to the other. Raymond, represented by red, must connect top to bottom, and can do so in as few as four correct answers... Matt, represented by white, has a slightly longer path, needing a minimum of five correct answers to connect side to side. The winner of the first game will receive at least $500 for the win, it could be as high as $1,000. Each block has a hidden dollar amount and the cash award attached to the winning block will be awarded to that player. Furthermore, the winner of one game gets to play our new Gold Rush mini bonus game for up to $5,000 in cash. Game 2 the roles will be reversed, Matt will have to connect top to bottom and Raymond from side to side. If a third game is needed to determine the match, that game will be played on a 3 by 3 board, where neither player will have an advantage. The first player to win 2 games out of 3 wins the match, the championship, and gets to play the Blockbusters Bonus Bonanza for up to an additional $20,000 in cash! (NBC canned "OOOH"s) In game 1 the red player gets to select the first block. In game 2 the white player will have that privilege. There's a bonus block hidden up on the board players. The player who rings in first with a correct answer might win a cash bonus as well. The bonus block jackpot right now is... $500 and it will grow by $250 per game until claimed. The bonus block jackpot will not be featured during any tie-breaking game 3. Very well Raymond, there's the Blockbusters board, each block has a different letter and those letters represent the first letter in a one word answer to a question. Which letter do you want to start with Raymond? Remember you're trying to connect top to bottom in this first game.

T it is... Hey! Right off the bat the Bonus block has been found. Whoever answers this question correctly will have a chance at a $500 bonus, if they win this game. Hands on buttons (Players, at this time I ask you both to submit ten buzz codes higher than 0 but lower than 100)... What "T" was the nickname of our 9th President, William Henry Harrison?

Matt's trying to anchor on the left side of the board, Raymond of course is trying to block. Question coming... What "H" was the Greek mythological hero known for his twelve labors? (buzz in sound effect) Matt's in first again. Your answer please Matt.

Hercules is the right answer! (ding) And while Matt ponders which letter he'll select next, we'll take this brief time out. (theme music plays)

Here we are again. We missed you. I hope you missed us too! Matt has 2 white blocks on the board so far and will win the $500 Bonus if he wins this game. Raymond's hoping to get on the board with this next question, however Matt gets to select the next letter. Matt, trying to connect left to right, side to side, study the board a moment and make your next letter selection if you please.

This will either get Matt anchored pretty good on the left side of the board, or Raymond will throw in a block. C question coming... What "C" comes in types known as Arabica and Robusta, and can also be a flavor of ice cream? (buzzer) And it's Matt first to the buzzer again. Answer please, Matt.

A very good guess, however, that is incorrect.
Raymond, you now get a chance to answer this for a block.

No, sorry. Coffee. That's the answer we were looking for. Since neither player came up with the right answer, we go back to another toss-up C question. What "C" was the title of a 1995 film starring Alicia Silverstone, portraying a spoiled rich daughter named Cher? (BUZZER) Raymond, you are first this time. Your answer please.

And is also the name of my upcoming autobiography...Clueless is right Raymond! (dong) And that gets you up on the board now. Incidentally, the losing player will still receive $25 for each block he places up on that board. Raymond, you are trying to connect top to bottom. Have a gander at the board and select our next letter if you please.
