That's a good question. Is it "Halfback Draw"? (wrong)No it is not "Halfback Draw". That's OK, you still have two rolls to go, so roll them again. (he does) A two and a five, or a seven.

I believe the middle row is "HALFTIME SHOW" Greg.

I think you may have something there. Is it "Halftime Show"? (Correct)(cheers and applause)

Yes it is. Now Bill, for a chance to play Lucky Seven, the clue is "Halftime Show". Solve the puzzle.

I think I know what the bottom row is, that being said I'm going to guess "The Super Bowl" is the puzzle answer....

(audience cheers) Is it "The Super Bowl"? (winning bell sounds, Showcase Showdown cue, cheers and applause)
[ ]THE SUPER BOWL[ ]
[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][?][9][10][11]
[H][A][L][F][T][I][M][E] [S][H][O][W]
[1][2][3] [4][?][6] [7][8][9][10]
Very good, Bill. Let's see the rest of the clues. (the screenx reveal themselves)
[ ]THE SUPER BOWL[ ]
[C][O][M][M][E][R][C][I][A][L][S]
[H][A][L][F][T][I][M][E] [S][H][O][W]
[T][H][E] [B][I][G] [G][A][M][E]
We have "commercials", because The Super Bowl has a lot of them. The "Halftime Show" is probably the reason why most people watch the game. And finally, "The Big Game" is a nickname. Very good. Ian, I'm afraid your winning streak ends here. We'll see you later on for the second game, but for right now, why don't you sit in Contestant's Row and watch? (Nicole and Natalie escort Ian to Contestant's Row to cheers and applause, while I pick up the dice) All right, Bill. Now you've won your first game. Win four more in a row and you will have that car. But right now, you're going to roll these dice to determine how much money you'll be playing for in the "Lucky Seven" bonus round. Since you won the first game, we'll multiply whatever you roll by $5,000. Meaning, if you roll a five, you'll be playing for $25,000. If you roll a ten, you'll be playing for $50,000. Simple as that. Do you have any questions, concerns?

No questions. As for concerns many, but none relating to the game

(audience chuckles) All right, well roll those dice, and let's see what you're playing for. (Bill rolls the dice) (dings)(cheers and applause) A six! You're playing for $30,000! $30,000What do you think of that?

Post by billmcdee on Oct 12, 2014 6:18:50 GMT -5
I think I'm glad I rolled a double NOW and not during the game itself!
I'm very pleased to be trying for $30,000 to be sure!

All right, we're gonna get the stage set up for that game and play it when we come back! [COMMERCIAL CUE](cheers and applause) --------------------- [TICKET PLUG]Gary: (VO) If you'd like tickets to see On a Roll, go to CBS.com/tickets or call us at (212) 536-5444 between 9AM and 3PM Pacific Standard Time Monday through Friday. That's (212) 536-5444 between 9AM and 3PM Pacific Standard Time Monday through Friday, or go to CBS.com/tickets. And now, here's Greg Palmer with more On a Roll!(cheers and applause) Greg: Thank you, Gary. I'm here with Bill McDee, who has just won the first game, and now he's playing for a lot of money at the "Lucky Seven" bonus round. Take a look at the board. [LUCKY SEVEN] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [WINNINGS: $ ] [STRIKES: ]
As you can see, we have seven numbers up there, four through ten. What you're going to do is roll the dice and take out those numbers in any order you wish. For each one you knock off, I'll give you $500. You knock off all seven, and you'll earn how much?

THIRTY-THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! Or about $6,211 and 14 cents after taxes

(audience laughs)
All right. Now, there are a few things I should mention, and those are those nasty strikes. If you roll doubles, you'll get a strike. If you roll a number that's already been rolled, you get a strike. The wild numbers are 2, 3, 11, and 12, but 2 and 12 are double edged swords because while they knock off a number, they'll also give you a strike and you don't get money for that number. Also, the last number must be rolled naturally in order for you to win.
The money is especially important because this is being used as score money. If Ian should win the next game, he'd have to beat whatever you scored here in order to come back tomorrow. Now if you won the $30,000 and he won the next game, he'd have to beat $30,000 in order to come back tomorrow. If you won the money and he tied you, you'd both come back tomorrow. (I start laughing) Maybe it's a good thing you solved that puzzle as early as you did. I'm needing a lot of time to explain these rules. Basically, we're going to play it like The (New) $25,000 Pyramid. You are familiar with the Winner's Circle scoring rules for that, aren't you?

Keep this up, you're really On a Roll now. (he rolls again) (strike)(audience groans) Oooh, you got your first strike. Let's not do that again, shall we?
[LUCKY SEVEN] [X] [5] [6] [X] [8] [9] [X] [WINNINGS: $ 1500] [STRIKES: X ]
(Bill gets the dice back) Roll it again. (he does) (strike)(audience groans)
[LUCKY SEVEN] [X] [5] [6] [X] [8] [9] [X] [WINNINGS: $ 1500] [STRIKES: X X ]
Steeeeeeeeeeeerike two! Oh my..... Bill, you just rolled three sevens in a row. If this were a casino, you'd hit the jackpot, but here? Not so much. All right. Focus, Bill. You need to roll four more numbers and avoid doubles, 4, 7, and 10. Do you think you can do that?

[LUCKY SEVEN] [X] [5] [6] [X] [8] [9] [X] [WINNINGS: $ 1500] [ BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME ]
....Well, Bill..... I don't know what to tell you besides "I'm sorry". Even the board says "Better Luck Next Time". That's nice of them. However, you do have $1,500 in cash and we still have game #2 to play. Do you have any thoughts before we go to break?

[COMMERCIAL CUE](cheers and applause) (fade to black) ------------------------- ----------------------- (fade in) (cheers and applause) Greg: Welcome back to On a Roll. If you just missed it, Bill won $1,500 playing our bonus game. Ian, if you win this game, you'll have to beat $1,500 in order to come back tomorrow. Should you tie it, then you'll both come back. Bill, if you win the next game, you'll be playing for as much as $120,000. (audience cheers) In addition, Bill is now only 4 straight games away from a brand new car. [ ]
