And it's higher for mrb2000. ding! Now the actual number of Facebook users who met their current mates on social media is... ding-ding-ding!...38, so it's not higher, and koopakid17 will have another crack at the cards. Now what's the new base, Amber? (5 ⋄)A 5! So will you play or change the card?

Is the next card higher than a 5?
(6 ♥)
ding!
You certainly took a risk, and it paid off that time! Now would you like to continue or freeze?

Very well, we freeze at the 8, and get into our fourth and final question of the round, which will be played as a sudden-death question, since neither of you have cleared your rows yet. mrb2000, you will answer this question to which we asked 100 music fans: "Do you think that CD's will make a comeback 20 years into the future, like LP records have done now?"How many of those music fans said yes?

Well, I grew up with CD's. However, vinyls are very popular now and they were popular for a long time. I just don't see them returning for a while.
I'll say 35.

mrb2000 says 35. ding!koopakid17, is the actual number higher or lower than 35?

Records for nostalgia are serving their purpose but CD's are still being used. I think it's going to be a little higher.

koopakid17 thinks it's higher. ding! Now the actual number of music fans who think that CD's will make a comeback 20 years from now is... ding-ding-ding!...43, so koopakid17 gets control of the cards. Now, in the tiebreaker, you can play from the 8 you froze at earlier, with the option to change it if you wish, or you can pass it to mrb2000, who must play the 9 right away if you do. Keep in mind that if either of you makes a mistake, your opponent will win the match. So what's your decision, play or pass?

Post by koopakid17 on Jul 19, 2017 23:13:50 GMT -5
I will pass!

Post by Bill Skinner on Jul 20, 2017 11:10:56 GMT -5
Alright mrb2000, it's on you now. You must play the 9 immediately, and you cannot freeze. So what's your call on the next card?

I guess i'll go lower.

If this is lower than a 9, you will continue; if it's not, koopakid17 will win. Now, to continue, is the next card lower than a 9? (9 ♣) buzz! No, it's another 9, so that means koopakid17 wins! ding-ding-ding!(1978 CS Win Cue) (1978 CS Theme) So at the end of Round 1, it's the champ 1, and our challenger nothing, but when we come back, we'll have a new round of questions all ready to go. Since it's early in the game, we'll give mrb2000 a chance to catch up; stay tuned, because we'll be back after this.

We're back with a new round of questions, and this time, the first question will go to you, mrb2000. We asked 100 truck drivers:
"When you're tired, do you let your partner drive, or do you prefer to simply stop and take a rest?"
How many of those said that they just stop and take a rest?
|
|
|
Post by mrb2000 on Jul 21, 2017 9:01:43 GMT -5
Now I know this isn't The Tortise and The Hare, but you know. I'd let my partner drive as long as we are both sober and not under the influence. So, I will say 31.

So it's 31 for mrb2000. ding!koopakid17, is the actual number higher or lower than 31?

Truck drivers know better than to risk safety by driving tired. I think for convenience, they'd rather get the job done on time if possible. It has to be higher.

And it's higher for koopakid17. ding! The actual number of truck drivers who said that they'd just stop and take a rest is... ding-ding-ding!...57, so it is higher, and koopakid17 gets first crack at the cards. Now Amber, what's his first card? (2 ♥)Ah, a 2! Are you going to play or change that 2?
|
|
|
Post by koopakid17 on Jul 21, 2017 16:41:33 GMT -5
Play it and call higher!
|
|
|
Post by Bill Skinner on Jul 21, 2017 23:18:20 GMT -5
Of course, the only way you don't continue is for the next card to be another 2; otherwise, you're fine. Is it higher?
(3 ♣)
ding!
Although not by much, it is higher, and you now have the option to continue or freeze. What are you going to do?

Post by koopakid17 on Jul 22, 2017 15:11:21 GMT -5
Higher!

Higher than a 3?
(8 ♥)
ding!
Right again, and you're two away from another win. Now what?

Post by koopakid17 on Jul 23, 2017 8:46:31 GMT -5
Freeze!
|
|
|
Post by Bill Skinner on Jul 23, 2017 21:21:19 GMT -5
Let's freeze at the 8, and get into a new question. koopakid17, you will now get to answer our second question. We asked 100 lottery players: "After you win the jackpot, do you still intend to keep playing?"How many of those said no?
|
|
|
Post by koopakid17 on Jul 23, 2017 21:27:22 GMT -5
That has to be low. I don't expect them to since they've already won out. I'll say 30.
|
|
|
Post by Bill Skinner on Jul 23, 2017 21:40:46 GMT -5
koopakid17 says 30... ding!...and mrb2000, is the actual number higher or lower?
|
|
|
Post by mrb2000 on Jul 23, 2017 22:25:13 GMT -5
I mean, not many people would win again. So if you win, why play again?
I'll go lower.

mrb2000 says it's lower. ding! The actual number of people who said that they would quit after winning the jackpot is... ding-ding-ding!...42, so it's not lower, and koopakid17 will start from the 8 he froze at earlier. Are you going to play it now or change it?
