I will need for the first four contestants to sign up. If you can, and feel at liberty to, please tell me your first and last name (or what name you would prefer to go by) when you are called to "Come on down!"
Changing things up for this episode.
After the first pricing game, just the remaining 3 contestants will bid. After the second pricing game, just the remaining 2 contestants will bid.
After the first Showcase Showdown (which will resemble the Press Your Luck board instead of the wheel), four NEW contestants will be called to come on down for the second half of the show, and the process will repeat.
Only one showcase at the end of the show, and the bids will be submitted privately.
If you are the winner of the showcase and are $250 or less away from the actual retail price of the showcase, you will also win a cash amount equal to the value of the showcase.
Three new pricing games that I created will be featured, and one retired pricing game will also be played during this episode.
So come on down and join the fun. I'm hoping to begin this episode sometime tomorrow, since My work day tomorrow is only 5am til 10am!
Best,
Bill

That sure is an interesting twist on a tried-and-true concept, and why would I pass up the chance to win big on a show like The Price is Right? Therefore, count me in!

Splendid, we have the 4 for the first half, and 2 already for the second half!
Game should begin sometime later today if all things go according to plan (both God's and my own!).

FRANK CALIENDO (as Rod Roddy) And…DAVID B...COME ON DOWN! FRANK CALIENDO (as Rod Roddy)You are the first four contestants on... "The Price is Right"! FRANK CALIENDO (as Rod Roddy) And now, here is the latest resident of the Shady Pines Retirement Home for net game hosts, The Price is Right Master of Ceremonies... Bill McDee!!!!!!!! BILL MCDEE: That's me! BILL MCDEE: Thank you one and all for that very warm greeting. I would like to extend to one and all a very warm greeting and welcome to The Price is Right! Even though I am the "old" man here, I will presenting some new features that I hope you will approve of and perhaps even love! But first, as always, we need an item to bid on. Frank, tell us about it would you please? FRANK CALIENDO (as Rod Roddy) It's… A rocking chair! (laughter ensues given the prize association with old/retired folks)… FRANK CALIENDO (as Rod Roddy) From Houzz, this solid cherry and black walnut rocking chair is proudly made in the U.S.A. No stains used. It's hand rubbed finish gives it a more natural look. Hours of comfort and relaxation, from Houzz. Houzz, the new way to design your home! BILL MCDEE: Yes friends, that actually is MY chair…and it can honestly be said that I am off my rocker. As you no doubt know, I will take one bid from each of you in turn. As you no doubt know, I want each of you to bid on that beautiful rocking chair in dollars, since we round off all of our prices to the nearest dollar. As you no doubt know, the one of you who comes closest to the actual retail price of that chair without going over will win that chair. And as you no doubt know, the winner of that chair will join me up here on stage to play one of our fun and challenging pricing games to try to add to their winnings. And we shall begin today's proceedings with your bid, Matt!

www.dougmorris.net/games/sfxcbsding.mp3Ah! $821! Now I will press this button to discover the actual retail price of that rocking chair is... TWO-THOUSAND, FIFTY-NINE dollars!!!! David, that is YOUR chair! (winning music) Please join me up here on this stage David... Now David, I mentioned that there are some several new features for today's show, including for the first time since Labor Day 1972, a Price is Right episode featuring THREE new pricing games! David, you are NOT going to play one of those new pricing games. However, I don't think you'll mind too much. You've already won a rocking chair to sit in. Now, how would you like to sit in THIS? FRANK CALIENDO (as Rod Roddy) A new Lincoln!!! FRANK CALIENDO (as Rod Roddy) This 2017 Lincoln Continental has a 305 horsepower, 3.7 liter V-6 premium engine, six speed automatic transmission, and seats five. Drive in the lap of luxury, the Continental, by Lincoln! And for you David, we have the tried and true, venerable... Lucky Seven game! Let's see the first number in the price of that car please. www.dougmorris.net/games/sfxcbsding.mp3A four! That car is more than $40,000 in price David! Imagine that! Here are the seven one-dollar bills for you David. I will ask you to tell me what the second digit in the price of that Lincoln is. If you are right you keep all seven dollars. If you are wrong, you must pay me one dollar for each number you are away from the correct number. We will go through all of the remaining digits that way, and if you still have one dollar left after you tell me the final number in the price of that car, I will sell you that beautiful automobile for just that one dollar, okay? I will also help you by telling you that none of the remaining digits in the price of the car is a zero. No zeroes in the price. David, if you have no further questions, tell me the second number in the price of the car please!

David says "Three". Open that door! www.dougmorris.net/games/sfxcbsding.mp3EEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ouch, that was painful. Missed that by four! Three dollars left, you need one for the car, so you're going to have to get at least one of these next digits right on the nose David! Good luck as you try to guess what the next number is in the price.

Going with three again. Come on 3! OH NO!!!!!!!! It was $47,675. Manuela, please escort David to his rocking chair after that terrible disappointment for him! I am sorry.... But there is good news. David did win that chair, he'll be back later for Showcase Showdown number 1 where he could win $26,000 in cash. We have a NEW pricing game going to debut next, and finally...because of this tragic loss, I don't have to take the bus home. Frank, do you need a lift? Hopefully we'll lift everyone's spirits, right after this!

(applause) For those of you just joining us, welcome. This version of The Price is Right has some new features, one of which is after the first three pricing games, no new contestants are called on down. Instead, after the first Showcase Showdown later in the program, Frank will call four brand new contestants to come on down to compete during the second half of the show. During the last pricing game of today's show, we will tell the two contestants who did not win their way up on stage about their consolation prizes. Also those two players, whoever they should be, will end up with a $250 gift card to spend as they wish. Right now, speaking of spending, why don't we have a gander at our next item up for bids. FRANK CALIENDO (as Rod Roddy) A new shuffleboard table! (more chuckles since Shuffleboard is oft times applied to old folks) FRANK CALIENDO (as Rod Roddy) From Playcraft, this all Woodbridge model features a solid plywood framing structure, and comes with in leg storage, slide scoring, speed wax and eight deluxe pucks. Since the player at position 4 won his way up on stage, the bidding will begin with the contestant at position 1, which is you Matt. What do you bid on that prize?
