This is it. It all began with Shopper's Bazaar! As there are a lot of differences between this pilot and the finished product, here are some things to keep in mind.
-Contestants will still be drawing numbers to determine position but they will also be picking the prizes that they will play for on the Accounting Department. All available prizes are in three tiers depending on their value and are rounded off to the nearest $50. -The contestant who draws the number 1 starts the game. In Round 1, each player stops the wheel once and then play continues with the first contestant having control. All later rounds are started by the player who solved the previous puzzle. -If you land Buy a Vowel and you do not have $250, you lose your turn. If you land on it and all the vowels in the puzzle have been bought, you'll be given the option to stop the wheel again (or spin again in later adaptations). -All money is carried over into subsequent rounds but you can only bank it if you solve a puzzle. -Only three categories will be used: Person, Place and Thing. If you land on Your Own Clue, I will PM you a more specific category. -The winner of the game after is determined by how many prizes are won after four full rounds of play with tiebreakers decided by high score and then winning tier's prize value if necessary. I will explain the Bonus Round when we come to it.
I'd like three players. Who's in?

Greg says R. Are there any R's in the puzzle? *ding* Yes! There's one! That means we put $150 into your bank. If you win another $650, you can claim that loveseat. For now, let's listen as Jim Thornton talks about our next contestant and the prizes he could win. Our second shopper is Antonio from Wisconsin. He is playing for this durable, rugged but fashionable luggage collection from American Tourister. Plus, he work straight from home and keep himself organized with this computer desk. Finally, a trip to San Diego where he will enjoy a three-night stay at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel. Is there a T in the puzzle? *ding* Yes, there is one. We put $100 into your account. Jim: That's how our game is played. And now here is the host of the Shopper's Bazaar, Kevin Kolsen! Me: Thank you, Jim! Hello, everybody and welcome to Shopper's Bazaar! We have three contestants ready to take some more money from our wheel and play the fabulous prizes they've picked in our pavilion. Why don't we meet them? Let's start with Greg Palmer. You've chosen to play for the loveseat, the Papa John's pizza and the home gym. Tell us how you arrived at those selections.

Well, I like watching TV, so that's why I chose the loveseat. I love food, so that's why I chose the Papa John's for a year. I currently weigh 240 pounds, and I'll weigh more than that if I eat all that pizza, so that's why I chose the NordicTrack.

So it evens out for you. Maybe invite me over in case you have a Papa John's party sometime.
Next is Antonio from Wisconsin. You also picked some pretty good prizes. Tell us about those.

The watch would look great on me. My mom played the keyboard and I think she would like to play that one. The Grandfather Clock would look great in the living room at my house.

That's great, some practical ideas for those gifts. Gentlemen, I'll again show you our puzzle: Remember, it can be a person, a place or a thing. I'll also show you the Accounting Department which will monitor your progress as you earn money. Remember, to win those prizes, you need to solve the puzzle and have enough money to do so. I'll also show you the wheel we'll be using for this puzzle and the next. $500 is the top dollar value and we also have some goodies such as Free Spin, Free Vowel and Your Own Clue. We also have a space there that lets you Buy a Vowel for $250 although you can still do that at your own leisure. The one space you need to watch our for is Lose a Turn. Don't hit that or you give up control to the next player. Greg, you have the privilege of going first. You have $150 which is not enough money to buy a vowel. You can stop the wheel and call a consonant for the dollar value it lands on or you can make an attempt to solve the puzzle. What do you want to do?
