Now, this is our 50th episode, so we have a few big changes for the show: * Summer Bartholomew will be my co-host. * Instead of the $25 Money Card, we'll have a big $50 Money Card in the third Fame Game. * The CashCard will be worth $50,000.
Plus, we'll have other surprises as the game goes on.
Ian Sherman so far has $24,079 in cash and prizes. Who would like to challenge him?

(As we fade in, we see a 1980s-era color TV. As the TV turns on, we see a montage of clips from all English-era versions of $ale of the Century, with a special emphasis on the Jim Perry and Tony Barber/Glenn Ridge eras. We also see clips from earlier episodes of Greg Palmer's run. As we proceed to the present, the TV explodes.) (drumroll)(shot of Ian) Don Morrow: (VO) So far, Ian Sherman has won cash and prizes totaling..... $24,079![OPENING THEME]
Tonight, one of our contestants could win a musical starship, a trip to Disney World, or a mountain estate in North Carolina!
And continue a journey towards a fortune in cash and prizes including this pair of Corvettes......
And hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash!
In total, over $1,000,000 on the 50th episode of.........
(echo) And now, here's the star of our show, GREG PALMER!(wild cheers and applause as the doors open and I run to my lectern)Greg: Thank you, Don Morrow. Thank you very much. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, this is the $ale. And not only that, it's our 50th episode. That's why there's a big "50" right in the center of the top part. See that? (I pick it up and put it away) It's temporary. (I put it back) Well, we have quite a bit of action for you tonight. Lots of surprises, lots of fun, but first..... I just want to say that we have the best crew in television. This is a cross-continent effort, some of our producers and directors are from Australia, we have people from the United States, and I've enjoyed working for each and every one of them. You'll see them at the end of the show. Now now now, we'll be back on Monday. This isn't the end. We just want you to see all of them. But before we can do that, we have a game to play, and our champ... let me tell you, our champ has won quite a bit in the past few days. He's won a trip to Toronto, a saxophone, a living room set, an Irish TARDIS..... please welcome back a fine champion, Ian Sherman! (audience cheers) Hiya, Ian. Ian, of course, is a student from Columbus, Ohio. So, what's been happening with you, lately?

Well, Greg, this part of the month is my busiest. That includes me volunteering for my local NPR station, and a dance weekend in Groveport my mom's dance group has planned.

It's not that complicated — what you do is stand in two lines with people opposite each other (which is called a "set") and move up or down a place in different ways. Here's more info when you get the chance: round.soc.srcf.net/dances/elements

(edit) Oh, so it is like square dancing. OK, then. Well good. Maybe you'll get a chance to have a hoedown in that country house in North Carolina, providing you win it. Are you ready to go?

(Summer smiles, the audience cheers) Summer: Well thank you very much. I just wish Jim was here to see this.Greg: And Reg. Well, maybe not Reg. But Jim, definitely. Summer, who are our challengers tonight? (As Summer introduces the contestants, models of the opposite gender escort them to their seats)Summer: Well first, he's an accountant. From Long Island, New York, let's give a warm welcome to Kevin Kolsen. And he's a high school student from Washington, D.C. Say hello to Lenny Jackson.(audience cheers) Greg: Thank you. Let's meet our players here. Hiya, Lenny. So, you're a high school student. What are your plans after high school?

Just think of what you're passing up. A trip to Melbourne, all the backstage stories as told by the people themselves.
Tell you what, I'll throw in $1,000 spending money, I'll go on the trip as well, and you can have the whole thing for $4.
