So, Marc is working on his third battle against the Dragon. As he does so, who wants to take him on? The first person to sign up will challenge him, and anyone else goes on the WAITING LIST, which is currently wide open. As long as you did not play Episode 2, you can play this episode!

Marc and Matt, we are ready in 3, 2, 1 (by the way, anyone at any time can add themselves to the waiting list...just chime in!)...
(TTD Theme from '78-'86 plays)
JIM THORNTON: From Los Angeles, it's everyone's game of strategy, knowledge, and fun! It's TIC TAC DOUGH! (Applause) And now, here's the host of Tic Tac Dough, JON DARRALL! (Theme ends as I enter)
ME: Thank you, Jim, and welcome back to Tic Tac Dough! You've joined us on what could be the day we give our returning a brand new car. You see, winning five games in a row entitles our champions to a new car, so strong gameplay is handsomely rewarded. I'm ready to get started, so, Jim Thornton, please introduce our players!
(Contestant intro cue plays as stage doors open behind the player podiums, a la the Caldwell season's stage. The contestants descend stairs one at a time, and I meet them at the bottom at their podia.)
JIM: Our first player is our three-time champion from Riverside, New Jersey, with winnings totaling $50,240. Playing X is MARC ENYEDY! And, our second player is a supermarket courtesy clerk and a Special Olympian from Council Bluffs, Iowa. Playing O is MATT RINGGENBERG!
ME: Welcome back, Marc. Any plans for the nearly $30,000 in cash and those fantastic prizes you've won? And Matt, tell us a little bit about your Special Olympics experience.
(You may go in either order, and you don't have to wait for me to acknowledge your response.)

ME: Safe to say we've got a competitor here, then. Marc, what do you think about that? Also, any plans for the winnings?

Not bad, sir. As for my plans for the money, that'll depend on how much is left after taxes.

ME: We'll see if you can add more to it, as you play the game with these nine categories. (Reveal effects) ME: We are playing with TOP TEN; SCARY STUFF; OUTER SPACE; OPPONENT'S CHOICE; INITIALS AND ABBREVIATIONS; GAMES; CELEBRITY COUPLES; U.S. CITIES, which will be our visual category; and 10-LETTER WORDS. On the red categories...in TOP TEN, each of you will choose an answer for a Top 10 list - higher answer wins the box. In OPPONENT'S CHOICE, your opponent will choose from two categories, one of which will conceal a 2-part question. A miss gives the other player a chance to steal. ME: Marc, as always, we start with you. Make your first selection, please.

Let's go in the middle with Initials and Abbreviations.

ME: Going to the center for this two-parter.
Many well-known authors go by their initials, often leaving people to wonder what their first and middle names are. I'll give the first and middle names, you give the last names.
1. John Ronald Reuel. 2. Joanne Kathleen.
ME: Here's some extra time (Extra time cue plays......BONG!). OK, Marc. Please give the last names of the authors I described.

ME: Got 'em both (Applause)! Yes, it was J.R.R. Tolkien and J.K. Rowling (BONG-BONG!). $1,000 in the pot, and Matt, here comes your first turn. (Shuffle effects) ME: Select, please.

ME: Same category as the champ, just in a different place.
Just like the 50 states, the overseas territories of the U.S. all go by two-letter postal abbreviations. For instance, Puerto Rico is abbreviated "PR." Similarly, the letters "GU" represent an island territory in the Southwest Pacific Ocean. For the box, name this territory.

Let's stick with Initials and Abbreviations.

ME: Very well. For the bottom center space.
We are all familiar with the GEICO Corporation, but many people don't know that GEICO is an abbreviation. The "ICO" stands for "insurance company," of course, but the "GE" stands for the type of professionals who were among the first to take advantage of the company's service. For the box, what does the "GE" stand for in GEICO?

ME: Leaving your fate in Marc's hands. Because this is a red category, he can steal if you are wrong, so be careful. MARC, listen carefully. I have two categories for you to pick - one of them has a one-part question, and the other has a two-part question. Choose the category that you would like Matt to play. Do you want...
CHILD STARS or NEW YORK CITY?

New York City.

ME: OK, Matt, here's your TWO-PART question. You will have some extra time, but if you miss either part, Marc will get a chance to answer.
If you want to see the next big star in music, dance, or comedy, head to the Upper West Side on Wednesday nights and catch "Amateur Night" at one of the city's best-known theaters. It is located in a neighborhood known for being a center of African-American culture, and the Amateur Nights there have launched the careers of Ella Fitzgerald, James Brown, Michael Jackson, and many others. For the block, tell me...
1. What's the name of the theater? 2. What's the name of the neighborhood?
Here's your extra time (Extra time cue.....BONG!). Matt, tell me the name of the theater and the neighborhood where you can witness New York's most famous Amateur Night. Remember to include the number with the answer.

ME: That is incorrect (Audience groans). Marc, I'm afraid I cannot tell you which part or parts he missed, so you will have to give me both parts. Can you tell me the theater and the neighborhood? If you can, it will be your FOURTH Tic Tac Dough, $2,500 in cash, and a total of over $52,000.

ME: That is correct, and you've won (Applause...win cue plays...BONG-BONG!)! Interesting game, that's for sure. (I approach Matt's podium) ME: Matt, sometimes those red categories do a LOT more harm than good. That was certainly the case today for you. The quick game certainly was no reflection on you as a player. I bet you'll never forget, though, that the Apollo Theater is in Harlem, not Brooklyn. In any event, we invite you to take $100 and our thanks for playing. Matt Ringgenberg, everyone! (Applause as Matt steps away from his podium) ME: Marc, my man, that was your fourth victory and a total of $52,740. Ready to Beat the Dragon?

ME: Then come on over! (Bonus Round cue plays as Marc runs over to join me center stage) ME: We've got to stop meeting like this! In any event, you know the rules, so we'll dispense of those for now. The Treasure is at $13,000 cash. If you find a Tic Tac Dough in your first three picks, that's yours. A Tic Tac Dough wins the cash you accumulate, along with these prizes, which I can tell you are lots of fun. Here's Jim Thornton to tell you about them. Jim? JIM: Get ready, Marc, because you could win Tic Tac Dough's "Ultimate Gameroom" package. It all starts with this 3-IN-1 GAME TABLE! From GLD Products, this 3-in-1 flipping game table allows you to play table tennis, pool, and air hockey on its 6-foot playing surface. So easy to use, and it comes with all necessary equipment. Make your first selection, please.
