Thanks Tony, I am Bill McDee, the current host of the evening edition of this show, known as Gambit P.M. I also am currently hosting another show on another network, and will soon be pulling triple duty hosting yet another program on that same other network. The charity I am playing for is the Alzheimer's Association. www.alz.org/This is a disease that truly affects all members of one's family, including my mother-in-law who passed away from it on Valentine's Day 2012, so it is truly near and dear to my heart.

[AUDIENCE AWs, APPLAUSE]I'm deeply sorry to hear about the passing of your mother-in-law. I wish you and The Alzheimers Association the very best of luck. Now that we've gotten to know the hosts, please allow me to explain the brief rules. The object of the game is to get closer to 21 without going over. Each correct answer is worth $100 and whoever comes closer to 21 (or have your opponent busted) earns an additional $500. Let's take a look at the big money board.
[DING]The player who has a combination of at least three cards and it adds 21, wins the Any 21 Jackpot of $5,000. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]But... if you get an Ace and either a 10 or face card, you will win the Blackjack Bonus of $25,000! [LOUDER CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Before the start of this live show, the lab rats at Tandem Technologies, a RANDOM.ORG company, have sent J.Love a deck of 54 mega sized cards that were shuffled, cut and sealed. Jennifer will now break the seal to start round 1 with the first deal of the cards. Jenn...? Jennifer: Our first card in round 1 is a 4. Tony: Just to let the both of you know... we play the best 3 out of 5 rounds. Whoever wins three rounds will have the right to play against Jennifer in Beat The Dealer for a chance to win up to $10 million! [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Meanwhile, one home viewer will be playing along with the winner of Gambit and play Beat The Dealer for $1 million! [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Here comes the first question... Ally McBeal, J*A*G, or Law & Order-- Which TV show features court-martial trials?

The correct answer was J*A*G. Bill scores $100. [DING]Bill... do you want to keep the 4 or pass it to Mark?

Once again, I will pass that to Mark

Bill have passed the 4 to Mark as he'll try to win the $5,000 Any 21 Jackpot. Jennifer won't be revealing the next card unless someone answers this next question correctly. Here's the next one... 70%, 80%, or 90%-- Jellyfish are comprised of approximately what percentage of water?

Buzz-code answer: 79 1st: BILL (73) 2nd: MARK (33) [BUZZ-IN]Bill...?

90 percent I believe, with the other 10 percent jelly.

Bill... you're right on both counts. 90% is the correct answer. [APPLAUSE, DING]You now have a cash total of $200 and another decision. Do you want to keep the card or pass it to Mark?

|
|
Post by billmcdee on Aug 30, 2016 9:17:28 GMT -5
I'll keep the card, Tony.

Jennifer, please reveal Bill's first card. Jennifer: Bill... your first card is a Queen. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Tony: If Bill's next card is an Ace, he'll win the $25,000 Blackjack Bonus. Mark needs either a 6 or 7 on his quest to win the $5,000 Any 21 Jackpot. Next question coming up... John Stockton, Danny Ainge, or Karl Malone-- Which Utah Jazz player broke Magic Johnson's all-time assist record in 1995?

It was John Stockton. Another 100 goes to Bill. [DING]$300 and another decision, Bill. Do you want to keep the card or pass it to Mark?

I shall keep it.

If your next card is an Ace, you will win the $25,000 Blackjack Bonus and the first round of the match. Jennifer... please reveal Bill's next card. Jennifer: Bill... your next card is-- *slowly reveals card* --an 8. Sorry... [AUDIENCE GROANS, APPLAUSE]Tony: The bad news is the Blackjack Bonus is out of play... but the good news that it's coming back in our next round. Bill... you now have an 18. And before I read the next question, you have two choices. Do you want to continue playing the round or freeze?
|
|
|
Post by billmcdee on Aug 31, 2016 10:10:52 GMT -5
Freeze please.
|
|
|
Post by tmann3x on Aug 31, 2016 10:25:08 GMT -5
And Bill is freezing on his 18. Mark... you need to get at least a 19. A 21 could lead to $5,000 for your charity. You must answer each and every question right in order to stay in the round. If at any event your answer is incorrect, Bill wins the first round and an additional $500 for his charity. Here is your next question... 48 Hrs., Lethal Weapon, or Trading Places-- What late 1980's action picture featured a conservative African-American police officer alongside a suicidal, Caucasian, long-haired one?

Mark... ...you're right! [APPLAUSE, DING]You now have $100. Let's hope that your next card is either a 6 or 7. Jennifer... please reveal Mark's next card. Jennifer: His next card is a Jack. Tony: You now have a total of 14, Mark. You need a 5 to win the first round. A 7 would give you both the first round win and the $5,000 Any 21 Jackpot. Next question for you. Mess, Murder, or Pod-- What is a group of whales called?
