Because -- don't you want to try to win big money for a worthy cause? (scattered laughter) Only kidding. I know you mean the letter Y which hides -- what? (ding) (audience cheers) WOAH! The big one. $100,000. But the bigger the amount... (alarm goes off) ...the tougher Wally makes it to win. Wally will now set the timer based on the value of your payoff against the values of the others. Since you picked the biggest payoff of them all, you're probably not going to have many tries to roll a lucky 7. ...two rolls. For each time you don't roll a 7, you win the sum's value in hundreds of dollars. But anytime you throw doubles, you don't win any money on that roll -- *and* it's an automatic shutdown. Ready to try for 100-grand?

Let's go! It's just you and me, Wally. Man against machine. (I kiss the dice for good luck, then spit something out) P-tooey! Dirty Harry must've been fondling the dice again. Get some hot water! Get some disinfectant! Get some iodine!

(audience laughs and applauds) Yeah, we're trying to get Harry to represent the house on an audience game we play here at On A Roll. Indeed, he did get his grubby little hands on those dice. So -- tell ya what. Greg, would you like to roll those red dice or ... (Doug reaches under dice table) ...these Dragon Ball Z dice made by the anime club of L.A. Community College? (scattered woos and cheers from the anime fans in the audience) For the DBZ fans, we know there are seven dragon balls at all -- but the sides of each of the dice are numbered 1 through 6. So -- the red dice or the DBZ dice, Greg?

[NOTE TO SELF: Untimed downs for Bill. This is after all "the lab".] (theme plays; audience applause) Back with more of our celebrity special of On A Roll. Bill McDee's play with us. Bill, we'd be in remiss if we didn't let you take your money roll. Please go ahead and take it now for $5000 a point. (Bill rolls)(Bill rolls)Roll's sum is 9 -- times five large -- means $45,000 could be headed to the coffers of -- what charity, Bill?

(audience respectfully applauds) We all know their work well. Many of us have attended relays for life. We're wishing you lots of luck as you play Big 6. Wally, please give us a hint about this Big 6 word. (ding)"Let's play..." -- meaning the Big 6 word is the name of a particular game. It may or may not be a proper noun. Four rolls to uncover as many letters as you can. Unlike the main game, you may only play one of the numbers you rolled; you can't play both and you can't play the sum. Solve the word after just one roll and you win $45,000 for ACS. For each additional roll you need, we cut the money in half. Remember, doubles and rolls that have numbers you've already taken count as wasted rolls -- which also cut the money. Good luck, Bill -- because you are on a roll. (Bill rolls)And you start off with a 5 and a 6. Would you like for Wally to reveal the fifth or sixth letter in the word?

(audience cheers) For $22,500, is it -- Gambit? (dings; SCSD win theme plays; audience cheers) It is! Great job. $22,500 for the American Cancer Society -- and a chance to win more with our new Lucky 7 game. Wally, please set that up for us. (FF reveal sfx) Thanks, Wally. Bill, behind the letters in the word "lucky", we have more cash at stake. They range in value from $25,000 to $100,000. (scattered cheers) Please pick a letter and we'll see how much you're playing for.

Bill goes for C. Behind the C we find. (ding) (audience cheers) Hey now! $100,000. Good news is you found the biggest amount of money. Now for the bad news.. (alarm goes off) .. Wally is going to make it hard to win. Wally will set the timer based on the value of your payoff against the values of the others. Since you picked the biggest payoff of them all, you're probably not going to have a lot of chances to roll a lucky 7. ...two rolls. Now, here's how the new Lucky 7 works. For each time you don't roll a 7, you win the sum's value in hundreds of dollars. But anytime you throw doubles, you don't win any money on that roll -- *and* it's an automatic shutdown. Understand what's going on here?

(theme plays; audience applause) Back with more of the On A Roll celebrity special. Steven Anderson's playing for the Jimmy Fund at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Steven, please go ahead and roll for $5000 a point. (Steven rolls) (audience cheers) A lucky 7. You'll want that that for sure later on. But right now, this 7 makes the Big 6 game worth $35,000. Wally, a hint, please. (ding) Name Game. That means the Big 6 word is a famous person's last name -- obviously a proper noun. Roll 'em again, please, Steven -- because you are on a roll. (Steven rolls)And you're starting off with a 2 and a 1. Would you like the first or second letter?
