Rich Fields: "You have the knowledge, you know the odds, all the rest is in the cards...on "Gambit", a game of skill, fate, and fortune! "I'm Rich Fields, and we welcome you to the BanCorpSouth Arena in Tupelo, MS, the birthplace of Elvis Presley!" "And introducing our Gambit dealers, Stacey Gardner and Tameka Jacobs!" "And now, the host of Gambit, Bryan Law!" (Audience stands up, goes wild and applauds) Thank you! Thank you everyone and welcome to Gambit on FOX and welcome most of all to the BancorpSouth Arena in Tupelo, Mississippi! This is a combination of trivia and Blackjack, and one simple hand of 21 could lead one of our two players on their way to over $1,000,000 in cash and merchandise! (Audience stands up, goes wild and applauds) You may recognize our lovely dealers from another program and network I cannot mention or I will be fired before my first show. (Laughter) But you know who they are, Stacey Gardner and Tameka Jacobs! (Audience stands up, goes wild and applauds. Ladies wave to the crowd) Ladies are you excited? Stacey: I'm very much excited Bryan! Happy to be here! Tameka: I am so honored to help bring Gambit back to TV! (Audience stands up, goes wild and applauds) Happy to have you here ladies! How about our great announcer/weatherman, Mr. Rich Fields! (Audience stands up, goes wild and applauds) Now for all of you fans of Southeastern Conference football including me, Rich is a graduate from the University of Florida and for some of you Bulldogs, Mississippi State University! (Audience stands up, goes wild and applauds) Rich are you excited? Rich: Very much Bryan, thank you for allowing me to be a part of the newly revived Gambit! (Audience stands up, goes wild and applauds) Well I'm excited to have all of you here and this entire audience here tonight! (Audience stands up, goes wild and applauds) But to get this game started we need two players! Stacey and Tameka tell us who they are! (High Rollers 1987 theme plays) Stacey: From Council Bluffs, Iowa, he is a supermarket clerk and enjoys the Simpsons and Peanuts! We welcome Matt Ringgenberg to Gambit! (Stacey walks Matt to his spot during applause) Tameka: And from Long Island, New York, he is an accountant who enjoys working out, reading and writing! We also welcome Kevin Kolson to Gambit! (Tameka walks Kevin to his spot during applause) Gentlemen, I welcome you both to our Gambit series premiere here on FOX! Are you both ready to play?

Without further delay, let's play Gambit! (WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO) As you know, we play Gambit with a deck of 52, along with some multiple choice questions. Give me a correct answer, you will have the option of keeping the card or giving it away to your opponent. The object is to get as close to 21 without going over. First game is worth $250, the first player to reach $1,000 becomes the champ and goes to the Gambit Board to play for over $1,000,000 in cash and merchandise! (WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO) Also in Gambit tradition, we have our Any 21 Jackpot which is progressive and any BlackJack will double it. The value of each card adds to it until someone hits 21. Aces count as $1,100, and whatever adds to the Any 21 doubles in the BlackJack which means a double jackpot. (WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO) The Any 21 starts at $2,500 and BlackJack at $5,000! (WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO) By winning the Jackpot, you will earn a Power Chip which I will explain down the road how it works once you win the match. Also inside that deck are 18 Jokers. If you earn a Joker and win a game, You pick a number off of our Joker Board. Sorry if it's a little blurry, but hopefully it will be fixed in the near future. There are 9 cash and 9 prize cards, one of them contains a trip which is always the featured prize. It is a trip to Arizona worth over $3,000! (WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO) Now Matt since you won the toss backstage (first to sign up), if you will sir cut the cards!

I believe everything is all set. Stacey will start us off by revealing the first card off the top of the deck. The remaining cards will stay face down for the remainder of this first game. Stacey has for us an 8 of Diamonds, here is your first question, hands on buzzers and good luck to both of you. Breyton Paulse Chester Williams Ashwin Willemse Errol Tobias Who was the first non-white rugby player to start a Test match for South Africa? Matt: 24 Kevin: 14 Random.org: 16 Kevin you're up first!

Let's see what Stacey has for you..... It's a 2! (WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO) Matt that means an Ace will give you a total Jackpot of $4,600 if you gain control of the next card, next question very important: True or False: The Eiffel Tower in Paris is one of the most visited monuments in the world. Matt: 13 Kevin: 6 Random.org: 20 Matt it's all yours!

Here we go! For $250 and a Jackpot of $4,600, Stacey is the next card an Ace?! Nope but it's still a good card, it's a Jack! That's right because that gives you 20! Now Matt since you're 12 and over, you have the option to freeze if you wish! What's your call?
Post by mringgenberg on Aug 11, 2016 8:19:36 GMT -5
Freeze!
Post by Bryan on Aug 11, 2016 18:13:41 GMT -5
Matt is frozen on 20 meaning he cannot receive any more cards. Kevin I will continue you ask you questions, you must get 21 to catch Matt. The Blackjack bonus is still open if you draw an Ace or a 10 from the start, but one wrong answer at any time gives Matt the game. Here's your question. Fish Cheese Bread Chocolate Ciabatta refers to which type of food?

(buzz buzz) I'm sorry Kevin, the answer was bread! Matt wins the first game and $250! (HR 1987 ending theme, applause) Kevin has gone 0 for 2 on these questions so far, but hopefully he can turn it around in our $300 game! The Any 21 sits at $4,500, while the Blackjack stays at $9,000! We still have all our Jokers in the deck waiting to be won, we'll see if we find some in our $300 game right after this! More of Gambit on FOX coming your way! (HR 1987 theme)

Rich: Now back to Gambit and Bryan Law!
Thank you Rich Fields, we have returned to Gambit on FOX! We almost gave away our first Any 21 Jackpot of the season, but we still have plenty of time for that since it is now sitting at $4,500 and our BlackJack is at $9,000!
Before we start our $300 game, let's get to know our two gentlemen here starting with Matt Ringgenberg from Council Bluffs, Iowa! It says here you are a fan of the Simpsons and Peanuts! How long have you read Peanuts?
