A www, yeah! Maybe I can see if I can put myself in the contestant pool for Pyramid. I hope you do and it is great that all of them but Celebrity Family Feud are returning. I hated Celebrity Family Feud.

I watched part of one episode of TTTT on youtube. It was meh. Truth be told, no pun intended, TTTT didn't do much for me. The only versions I ever did like at all were Garry Moore's version from 1969-78, with Joe Garagiola as host from 77-78, and the 1990-91 NBC version with myriad hosts, namely Lynn Swann, Gordon Elliot and Alex Trebek. Of all the shows Trebek ever hosted, I felt this was a most ideal format for him, and as he himself admitted, he loved doing the show because it was his first, and only, hosting job where he got to sit!
With the inundation of Steve Harvey in general, not to mention his reruns of Feud being aired seemingly somewhere 24/7, and the lame questions asked, and with Fast Money not being won very often it seems (next to never if I decide to watch), this current version of Feud has grown very tired and boring to me. It's how I felt about Dawson's version after around 1982 or 83, and Ray Combs' version once they introduced the Bullseye Round.
I watched an episode or 2 of Match Game on youtube. Alec Baldwin has always rubbed me the wrong way, and I remember seeing him portraying a character on the old NBC soap opera "The Doctors" circa 1980, when I was just 13 years of age, and even then there was something about him that I just did not like. I was a Knots Landing fan, and my favorite moment was when his character Joshua, who was a real jerk, ended up tripping and falling off the rooftop of a building to his demise. My son when he was younger loved The Cat in the Hat movie and it was fun watching Baldwin's character suffer in that too. Just as J.R. Ewing was a character that people loved to hate, Alec is that for me, the difference being not just when he is in character. Ross Shafer I felt did a better job at Match Game even than Baldwin. But they went with Alec since he has name brand, and obviously enough folks like him well enough that it is being renewed.
I was never a big fan of Pyramid either, even though I am a former NY Giants fan and loved Michael Strahan as a Giant. For one, Pyramid shows all the answers and it's much more rapid fire throughout the show, which makes it rather difficult to play along with, especially since the answers are shown. While this is also true for Password, Password had many great humorous moments and was a bit more cerebral at times, with only the Lightning Round being more fast paced. I always felt one reason Million Dollar Password didn't last very long is it was a constant race against time. I was like "They might as well just call this Pyramid again."
In 1972, The Price is Right aired at 10:30am on CBS. During a sick day I had either in Kindergarten or 1st Grade, I remember looking forward to seeing Price is Right at 10:30am, only to discover this Pyramid game was on. I was 6 years old at the time and I remember feeling so traumatized that they took off the cool game with the numbers and the cars and prizes, not having realized it was airing in the afternoons instead by that point. But I believe due to that childhood trauma for me, I never had much of an affection for any version of Pyramid, although I would watch on occasion. Dick Clark was a masterful host. John Davidson was meh, haven't watched this Strahan version, and the Mike Richards GSN version did nothing for me, since I did not know any of the celebs. Ditto with the current Match Game, I recognize one, maybe two at best of the six celebs, so it's not very fun for me watching virtual strangers playing MG.
My apologies for seeming like a Debbie Downer. I am pushing 50 and I guess some of the world is passing me by LOL. I am pleased for those who work on these shows, and pleased for the fans of these shows, that they have been renewed. Their good ratings are not thanks to my watching I guess is the point.
